Natalies voice was more powerful, but I liked Ivys voice better. She has just as much range. But she has color to her voice, Natalie kinda felt sharp some times. Theirs something interesting about ivy, she has a personality. Hopefully Mel B Picks her up.

To follow up on others it definitely seems that Brian is in the midst of depression. He has fought it before... Most notably around the time of Freddie's death and then again around 1999-2000 timeframe. It does seem as if QAL is a real positive thing for him right now (and hopefully his work and tour with Kerry Ellis in December will be positive for him too. If you are also asking about the hashtag, Back To The Light was his first proper solo album and was quite cathartic for him during a big depressing time. The same album has the studio version of Last Horizon which you all know pretty well by now... Thanks for the info talon. Was hoping you'd check in and clarify! No prob I'm still around in and out - especially since Bri said more QAL tours. I'm hoping it's shaken up a bit - Perhaps since it's the 40th anniversary of News of the World - they could do the complete album....but no I think it'll still end up being a GH tour....Brian isn't in a great place to try something too dangerous....

MelB will pick up Vlad in an instant, he will be getting the votes.
His range of music seems to be framed by top10 (TSwift, Shawn Mendes), but I thought his interpretation of these popular songs did show depth and emotion, so his delivery goes beyond just the puppy eyes and looks. He is a serious contender on such a show, imo.
Adam's strongest singer, Amalia, is an absolute star, a natural on stage, and sounds heavenly.
But I have seen too many battles, where Mr. Pop beats Ms. Angelic Singer with voters. Hope it does not happen here.
MelB may or may not choose to pick up either Ivy or Bailey, depending on the other groups. But I don't think that either of these two ladies would win against Natalie and certainly not against Amalia, and so Adam probably is safe there.
He has a strong team. For me Vlad versus Isiah is the debatable decision. I probably would have gone with Vlad, and would have let MelB pick up Isiah, should she choose to. Not sure she would have decided to choose him.
I LOVED watching Adam as a judge. Focused, steeled to making the choices that the job forced him to make that hour, but yet kind and compassionate towards all his contestants. And he brings the whole skill set to both make the good decisions, but also to make it a great show to watch while doing so.
He did great and chose his team with artistic integrity and class. We'll see what happens.
Btw, I like Guy too, know nothing about him, just based on the show. He is a really good judge too.

Wonder what Adam's reaction if he knows about this fact.. LOL. And I don't remember any of them have mentioned that they've taken singing lessons. LOL mmadamimadamm @mmadamimadamm 17m17 minutes ago
Well damn, all of Adam’s picks came from the same singing school David Jaanz School of Singing

But maybe also because the concert goer are not 100% die hard Queen fans, so they may have not familiar with the other Queen song's other than GH songs.

We haven't seen the other judges' groups yet, so it'll be hard to tell who Mel will pick....doesn't she have a choice from all the leftovers? Does she have to pick 1 person from each group or can she pick whoever she wants to? I'm a little confused on that part, except for getting 3 people also.
I'm assuming the next show(s) will be Iggy and Guy picking their group. That'll be fun. Still having a really hard time with Iggy, just can't warm up to her....she was driving me crazy with "Mel might pick up so and so" every time Adam had to make a decision.
At least he didn't make his decisions based solely on looks, Miss Iggy.

Just finished watching the episode, and found it really interesting that Isiah never seemed to be a consideration for swapping. Adam seemed really sure of his choice there. Didn't think Vlado was that great, but then I'm not a teen girl lol....thought his vocals were very weak. The choice between Natalie and Ivy was a tough one, a very close call...don't really have a favorite there as I'm not really a fan of female voices, but I would say Natalie's was more powerful. Vocally IMO, it's an easy choice for Adam to swap Vlado. He's popular with the teen coz his cuteness, just look at all the songs he chose.

People on one of the QAL forums are saying Brian is very depressed right now and to tweet him a message to cheer him up using the hashtag #backtothelight. Anyone know anything about this? Did I miss something? I know nothing about depression but I think one of the thing that contribute to his depression IMO is missing the spot light. He's been in the spot light during Queen time and then Freddie passed away for years he had to deal with not having performing on stage in the caliber of Queen and then Adam came a long and he got to do it again and have a taste of it again. He's been enjoying it again and now in their down time I think he missed it very much. I suffer from clinical depression, I have since a very young age. For me it's like a huge blackness is constantly pressing down on me. Mine isn't tied to anything that's happening in my life at the time it's just there . Sometimes it's so overwhelming it's hard to function other times it's just a shadow waiting , never quite going away. For anyone who wants understand how depression feels just listen to the lyrics of Adam's song "Underneath " for me it's a perfect description. My heart goes out to Brian and to anyone suffering from this horrible disease. Peace light and love to all.

I am soooo impressed with Adam as judge on X-Factor. I thought he excelled brilliantly and can easily see him continuing in this role in 2017. I'm so happy for the opportunities he's gotten. And, OMG!!!, I was really shocked to hear that QAL will be heading out again for more gigs soonish! I thought Brian and Roger might be ready for a break and looking forward to moving on to other projects. Again...another major opportunity for Adam to financially secure his future, pick up new fans, and just have some fun doing what he loves to do...singing and entertaining. My heart is full of happiness for him. The prospect of his new album is very exciting too.

I suffered from depression briefly about a year ago....turned out my hormones were severely out of whack (per my doc). It was extremely scary as I'm normally a very even tempered person. It did feel like a black cloud was pressing down on me, and I could actually understand how people could choose to commit suicide. My mom has suffered from depression ever since I could remember so it really scared me that this was something I inherited from her. Luckily for me, my doc put me on hormones and that seemed to do the trick, along with about 30 extra pounds yikes. But I'll take the extra weight any day over that horrible feeling of nothingness and darkness.
My sympathies to Brian and to anybody that suffers from this, it's horrible and so often misunderstood.
