It's irritating, amazing, surprising to see, how many people think 2016 was just a crappy year. With Carrie Fischer also gone 2016 seems to take them by the minute. Not to mention the catastrophic political situation of the world.
I'm not gonna pretend that these Icons were idols of mine. Born 1991 I listened to Britney Spears (Album: Ooops I did it again...), Backstreet boys (Album: Black and Blue) and Eminem (Loose yourself) when I was about 8 to 10 years old. Being a casual lover of music my hole life I never dug deeper as to the peterson behind the music. Just in the last years I've come to realize how important music has been to me all along and I started to pay attention to the artists behind.
For me me 2016 was one of the worst or rather hardest and toughest years and I've definately had hardship before. My studies were non stop for over a year with barely a moment to breath. My parents were away alot so I was quite alone. Both my grandparents had surgery this year and are luckily at good health now. So except for some scarce time spent with family and friends and the two Adam Lambert concerts 2016 pretty much sucked. As sayed it's not that something really bad happend but it was just rough.
I can't wait for 2017 though! I'll finish my studies, hopefully get to spend more time with family and friends until then and let myself be surprised by what Adam Lambert has in store for us.
I just love the diversity of Adams projects, it never get's dull. What I've never experienced with an artist before is that I love Adam as and artist so much that I'm pretty much game for anything he has to offer, I'll like it. So I don't have a prefered direction for album four. Also I have the same "problem" as some have sayed some days back, that I compare other vocalists to Adam and none really compare^^
Sorry for rambling!!!

Love seeing his name in TWO places. First in the list of dancers and also in the list of understudies where he was understudy for the part of Fiyero. I remember Adam saying that the lead Fiyero was almost NEVER sick, so Adam only got to play the part a few times. I would have LOVED to see it. I know there is a video out there of him doing one of the Fiyero scenes. We used to post it a lot. He looked and sounded great!

I ran into this article, which contains a 2008 interview with George Michael, online. www.yahoo.com/music/george-michaels-prescient-2008-interview-in-10-years-i-wont-be-able-to-stand-unassisted-230146381.htmlMany interesting points in the interview, but for some reason this bit stood out for me tonight. Speaking of judgments, the reviews of the shows in Europe were amazing.
I couldn’t believe them. I’m just not used to that kind of praise for anything I do. I’ve never had it for albums or anything I do. But my God, it was unbelievable. The reviews were just incredible.
Are you finding that with longevity, the praise is getting stronger?
Oh, absolutely. It’s finally getting to the point where people kind of assume that your talent is not really debatable anymore, which is a nice feeling, because it’s been debatable forever, as far as I could tell.
A lot of artists need longevity to find "the point where people kind of assume that your talent is not really debatable anymore." It takes effort, perseverance, and finding a way to move forward despite criticism. Of course, artists are often critical of their own work, but that is another issue, and part of the creative process. Finally getting to the place where one's talent is solidly recognized, though, must be freeing in many ways. This is what I think Adam's fans want for him. It is more important than being commercially popular. However, as Eber once said, (paraphrasing) success would be nice, too. I have kids in the arts. Something about this interview bit just resonated with me... peace&love

I would not be surprised if we see Carrie Underwood being included in a tribute to George Michael. A lot of the press is picking up her saying how much George influenced her. She did a tribute to the Beatles on the Emmy's singing Yesterday and also a tribute to Sinatra. I don't think she has to have met or have a direct connection to be included in these tributes.
