eeeeeek....now I need advice/feedback. 3 of us are going to the Vancouver show and we got tickets that first day on the floor, right side, row 20, 4 or 5 in....close to end of thrust. 2 of we 3 are short...
I just found...and got...3 in sec. 105 [next to 104], row 5...awesome seats on Brian's side, and probably the best section possible. But peeps say it is not the same as the floor. But...I will be able to see stuff....
HELP!!!
The good thing for others is that once we decide, we will have 3 great seats to sell...and we did not have to go VIP or Platinum...175+

Timing is extremely odd - 9PM Pacific time on a Friday night?? It's 9 am. Oh, that is odder?

The announcement of the twitter party is odd, and I am not sure that we should assume it is QAL related. I am preparing myself for some solo career related realness, when it comes to where Adam sees himself or this A4 album. Maybe it's something totally different, but this is what comes to mind for me.
The fact that he says that he is writing it for himself, and if somebody likes it then fine, does not sound like, <I engaged MM as producer to make a radio friendly album of hits>, sorry. Perhaps he finally feels he just wants to do his own thing, maybe other elements came into play. But perhaps he wants to let that cat out of the bag earlier rather than later. I dunno, we shall see.
I admire Adam's bravery and honesty and have done so since the first day I ever became aware of him. He has to dig so much deeper to find his path than most of us ever had to do, because the standard paths that other musicians walk are not open to him. It is so much harder to be a pioneer in uncharted territory and then being held and measured against statistics where the others just have a walk in the park, because they happen to fit the mold that the industry is looking for.
I read that paragraph about Susie Homemaker a bit differently. Adam went on idol and tried to balance his performances to show variety, but he was presented as swinging between playing rocker and singing ballads, mostly. In his heart he wanted to do dance music after idol, and so he fought hard to get a few dance numbers into there, especially in the weeks that were undefined. PTFM was such a week. Most people were questioning his sanity when he picked the song and were wondering why he did it. But the song was funky and it was dance, his two favorites. And in the end, this was the song, where Adam said to Simon. "I had fun."
Bottom-line, what he likes and what his heart desires is not in sync with what the market as a whole wants him to do. It was like that on idol where PTFM was rather unpopular compared to other weeks, and it became even more a separation, once he was in his recording career. Here the 'club kid Adam' was dreaming about making songs for his world, wanted guys, especially gay guys to love his club hits, his dance music, and be happy to have one of their own finally doing the music that they (the club goers) all love. So he begins his solo career, he starts making his eclectic album. He gets to find out who his fans are, and guess what: Men are almost entirely absent, gay guys especially are absent, they rather dream of Madonna and Beyonce than support one of their own.
Instead he has almost exclusively female fans, especially older ones, and he goes: Why are they following me? What do they want from me? (lol). What am I supposed to do to make them happy...or wait, maybe that is not what I am supposed to do...so what does the industry want...and somewhere in all this, I can see that Adam got lost in the question, why he was doing what he was doing.
The market he wanted to appeal to was not there, and instead he had this other market that he did not understand why it was there in the first place.
So come think of it: Why am I here?
1. Adam's courage and bravery. He has moved mile-markers and he continues to do so. Bravery is needed in today's world. 2. Adam's gorgeous voice from heaven that I could listen to forever 3. Adam's stage presence, performance style, his looks, he humor, the whole package 4. Adam's stance on behalf of the gay community, and at times beyond for other underprivileged people 5. Adam's strong commitment to positivity in general, his honesty, that permeates his music and how he lives 6. His wonderful concerts, both solo as well as QAL 7. This community that I am now part of since 8 years
Everybody has probably their own list, but this pretty much would be mine. What stands out is that none of these points have a specific reference to a certain song, or his overall albums, or the main song writing process itself. What the fuck is somebody who is at the beginning of writing his next album do with that list? when it basically says: It does not matter what album A4 is. So I am totally on board with him writing it for himself, and if somebody likes it then fine. But I have no idea how to market something like that. Will it work? I don't know. I want him to be successful, at least, if that is what he wants for himself. Or is writing an album for himself, exactly the bravery that I admire about him so much? Has he figured out what he wants, and pursues it without looking left and right, either at the fanbase or at the industry demands. We shall see and maybe get some first insight into some of this tomorrow.
Or maybe it is something totally different and I am just nuts and need to stop overthinking everything. Anyhoo, have a good night.

Sorry that I don't know how to get on here without making it look like I am replying to the previous. Anyway, I was fortunate to get tickets to Denver and Las Vegas! I hope they are good seats. My favorite thing I have read during these past crazy few days has been the writer who described in such vivid detail how she was so close as to be able to see even the dirt on Brian May's shoes! I am sorry that I don't remember the writer's name, but our power is flickering in and out, and that is always an iffy proposition in our small town. On another note, that pup is getting that sort of smug, self-satisfied look that conveys "Yeah, I know I have my person is putty; now I can begin working on some of the finer points of his training!" I guess I especially love it when a rescue gets that look. My 205 pound rescue mastiff is starting to test the waters with just how far he has sufficiently trained me to do his will! (Read, my coming in to find him sitting on my new leather couch when he had never shown the least inclination to get on any furniture before). Between him and his half brother, they have four orthopedic quality beds. But I do love to see the little regal looking Pharaoh perched on the back of the couch. On another note, and I feel like I must have missed something, does anyone know if Sauli was at Adam's birthday party? There were so many pictures, and I never saw him in any, when in the period just prior to that, their pictures were everywhere, so nothing--friendship or perhaps something somewhat more--was hidden. Of course, Saudi has a life of his own, so perhaps work simply called. Yikes....I sound so nosy. It is just that Sauli seems to exude a sort of light that complements Adam's...Gaah...now I am extrapolating someone's personality based on some instagram pictures! Bad! [img style="max-width:100%;" src=" But I remain curious [img style="max-width:100%;" src=" Ticket buying stress coupled with possibly 45 minutes 😴 since Tuesday--chronic insomnia runs amok in my family--have not been good for me at all! Ha, Ha, that was actually me. Welcome you will LOVE this place. Literally seeing Adam is truly my drug (I have never done drugs & hardly drink) & Queen & AL is possibly even a bigger drug when you are that close. Because the band just brings out the best in Adam & they just jell so well together. Also I feel Adam's voice is MADE for STADIUMS, so we need him to have another HUGE hit so he can sell out these stadiums himself. I'm going to continue in a seperate post. [/quote]
