Sorry I didn't mean to post this w/ yours I wanted it to be w/ yours but in it's own box. Trying to fix it now. Ha, Ha, that was actually me. Welcome you will LOVE this place. Literally seeing Adam is truly my drug (I have never done drugs & hardly drink) & Queen & AL is possibly even a bigger drug when you are that close. Because the band just brings out the best in Adam & they just jell so well together. Also I feel Adam's voice is MADE for STADIUMS, so we need him to have another HUGE hit so he can sell out these stadiums himself. Adam is electric when he is on that stage with Queen, I think he feeds off the crowds responding to him & knowing all the words & the crowds energy sooo much that his performance is just that much better. I think he gets such a kick out of everyone standing the entire time & participating & being so present, whether it's swaying their arms or doing the claps in Radio Gaga. Also I think it's probably a relief when he's playing w/ Queen because they are such experts & Icons in their playing that Adam doesn't have to worry about the band at all, he can just focus on himself & how they sound together. I'm sure when he's performing his show being the perfectionist he is, he probably is focusing on his dancers & the band & the lighting, etc, & trying to juggle all those things going on while at the same time focusing on his singing & entertaining has got to be exhausting for him every night. I hope I said that so it makes sense. I think that is why Adam just seems so happy & a little looser more relaxed especially once he sees the Queen fans relax & get into it; he's mentioned this before. This site has allowed me to get tickets to Iheart to see Queen & AL there in Vegas (last minute someone posted they released more seats) I called & got some. My hubby & I actually got married there at Bellagio & we hadn't been back in some time so we both were thrilled to have such a great reason to go. Also because people were posting things re: places Adam was going to when he did his radio promotions for TOH tour. I actually was able to meet him one on one in Baltimore because of that. I personally, just me & Adam & his obnoxious Manager who did finally go away & get in his car & left me alone w/ Adam in the parking lot. Seriously I died. I pulled up & he & his manager were walking out. I got out & yelled hi Adam & told him we were trying to get there & got so lost-my 4 1/2 year old daughter was w/ me & she had just fallen asleep. She loves him & I was trying to wake her up. I asked him if I could have a hug & he gave me a hug. He was sooo sweet. His Manager kept rushing him but he didn't care he ignored him & was focused on me. I was shaking. I asked him if he'd come around & say hi to her & he was like sure, he came over to the other side of my car far away from his Mgr., & stuck his head in my car to say hi to my daughter who was 1/2 asleep in her car seat. He asked me what her name was & I told him & he said "Hi Ali, it's so nice to meet you" it was soo sweet. There was No time to get her out. I told him that she actually loves his music because I told him she actually went to his Glam nation concert in DC, when she was in my belly, I was pregnant w/ her then. It was funny so he tried to figure out how long ago that was & how old she was & he was way off that was funny. He forgot what yr. his Glam Nation tour was. I had to tell him her age. Then I had my CD but I had just bought it so it was still in the wrapper. I asked him if he'd sign my CD, he waited for me to find it & unwrap it. Then he goes do you have a sharpie, I had to look for that too & he still waited for me & signed it. It was unbelievable. Then he said he had to go & I was kicking myself after cause I forgot to ask if I could get a selfie w/ him or a picture at least, but my hands were seriously shaking so badly the picture would have been so bad & I think if he stayed much longer I might have seriously fainted & I've never fainted before. Oh yeah, he also asked me what my favorite song was on the CD I told him The Original High, however, I couldn't think actually at the time but, it was The Light. My 4.5 year old at the time (she's 6 now) loves After Hours. I thanked him for taking the time to talk to me & for him saying hi to my daughter & signing my CD especially when I know he had a crazy busy day, they were heading from there to another Radio promotion. I think he had 4-5 that day in the Balt./DC area. I was able to get a pic of him driving away in the car w/ his Mgr. though. It's nice to re-cap it again because I do forget things that happened & things that were said that day so re-writing it helps me to remember. I had to sit in the car for like 20-30 min's after cause i was shaking so bad I couldn't drive. I called my hubby & told him i just met him, he's so cool w/ my Adam obsession. He was excited for me-he's fascinated w/ celebrities it's funny. Anyway he was excited because he had to do some investigating & digging to even find out the address of the radio station for me cause it wasn't listed anywhere so he was thrilled his detective work not only got me to the correct place, but landed me right at Adams feet. Seriously I got there & was circling building once to make sure I was in the right place. Then I came around to the double glass doors, to park & to watch & see if he would come out & I hadn't even backed into the spot all the way when he was walking out. I seriously couldn't believe my eyes. Thank god I put the car in park, could you imagine, I could have killed him & his baby. I was impressed I did remember to put it in park though truly. I was shaking so badly & just couldn't believe this was happening. Therefore, what I'm saying is I owe my meeting Adam to this site. I am soooo lucky & that day was one of the most thrilling of my life. OMG, I'm sorry this is so long I've literally taken over your post I'm sooo sorry. Other huge thrill I had was at Adam's Original High tour in Atlantic City, NJ. My hubby & 2 girls (5 yr. old & 9 yr. old) all went to the concert. Our seats were 3/4 of the way back lower level. My youngest Ali (the one who Adam met was now 5 1/2). She LOVES After Hours entire drive up there she kept asking, "Mommy you think he'll play After Hours cause I really hope he does). It's crazy how much she likes that song cause I don't even play that one that much. So right at the very beginning of this song, it was dark, no one really on the stage yet, you heard just a few chords of the beat but it sounded different, I couldn't figure out what song it was. Then it was real quiet in there & my daughter yells out really loudly, "AFTER HOURS" it was hysterical-everyone was laughing because this cute little toddler voice comes out yelling it & she knew the song, when no one else could really place it yet, people around us were amazed cause it was just a few beats/chords of the song, truly like 5-7 seconds in. She hadn't even seen any videos of the concert either so for her to place the beginning of that song when no one else recognized it was super crazy. Then after another 1-2 minutes he finally comes out & starts singing & people were laughing cause they realized she was right, cause the beginning wasn't so obvious it was that song. Most like myself only recognized it once he sang the 1st line. Then the night got even better. The people in front of us kept sneaking down to the front to take pics & would then come back to their seat. This man said to us when he came back, you should take her down there for a few minutes, Adam will love it. I was like what... I can't do that we'll get in trouble. He said no really, it's ok they don't mind if you go down there real quick. My youngest was too shy & scared to go down there. My older daughter was like I wanna go. So she & I walked down during the song right before Fever, I can't think of what it was now. We knelt down in the isle part & had our hands on the stage. My daughter was afraid to stand, I told her it was ok, she's short & a kid, no one will mind. Terrance was directly in front of us kinda dancing at or towards us, maintaining eye contact w/ us & smiling. We were cheering for him, we were so excited. I actually was trying to look at him & Adam it was hard. Then Fever started & she finally stood up, well I think Adam had noticed we were cheering Terrance on. Then that part of Fever where he & Terrance & Holly all dance together across the stage he started coming right towards us. I told me daughter to stand up & put her arm out, she stood up but didn't want to put her arm out, she was afraid she'd get in trouble. Well, Adam basically stopped right in front of her reached out down to her to grab her hand I was pulling her arm up & he grabbed her hand & spun/twirled her around 2 times in the middle of him performing the song. Then he pointed to her & sang as part of the song "Yeah ah ah" while pointing to her cause she had a Queen & Adam shirt on. It was sooo amazing!!!! Crazy I couldn't believe it, I was like after did that really just happen. After that all these other people came down & security made us all go to our seats. It was sooo crazy, it was such an amazing moment. My husband though, didn't even see it, Ughhh, he missed the whole thing. He was talking to my younger daughter who was getting kinda whiney & tired at this time, it was super late. So I said did you take a video of it. He said a video of what, no I was dealing with Ali. I said you didn't see what just happened, he said what, what did I miss. I was bummed not only did he not get a video of it but he didn't even see it, he missed the whole thing. Luckily, that night I was begging people for a video of it on this site, & I think someone was able to find a You tube of it & posted a few videos. One is really great, you can look up on You Tube, "Adam Dancing with a Fan" is what it's called I think. I haven't looked in a few months hopefully it's still there. Anyway again, this was all to this site again, I lurk a few times a week, don't post that much but this place is sooo important to me. So sorry this is so long, but you seemed to like the dirt on Brian's shoes so much, I figured you might like these stories. I apologize if you want to remove it or move it somewhere else I understand. Welcome AGAIN!!! Read more: adamtopia.com/thread/4059/late-show-rolling-stone-more?page=2#ixzz4Xb3pUYDD

eeeeeek....now I need advice/feedback. 3 of us are going to the Vancouver show and we got tickets that first day on the floor, right side, row 20, 4 or 5 in....close to end of thrust. 2 of we 3 are short... I just found...and got...3 in sec. 105 [next to 104], row 5...awesome seats on Brian's side, and probably the best section possible. But peeps say it is not the same as the floor. But...I will be able to see stuff.... HELP!!! The good thing for others is that once we decide, we will have 3 great seats to sell...and we did not have to go VIP or Platinum...175+ Hi there! I am not the mutiple concert goer as some...and I was waiting to see if others would share their thoughts....but I will start with my experience at the last QAL Tour. I had premium side seating chosen for me by a contact person at Ticket Master and had them well before any sale. I had to wait until the sale started though to find out the actual seat and section. The 2 concert tickets were almost identical in placement. I decided to buy a floor for my home town concert and gifted the seats in the second section from the stage...about row 10. So... the two shows were from different spots: Edmonton I viewed from the side section seats a bit before the end of the thrust. I viewed most of the concert from the screen images...not all as I wanted to get a sense of the lighting and whole arena visuals. We had people who were drinkers in our row and the row ahead. We were on the end of the row so lots of up and down and interruptions--- at least 10 times from our row. We tried to stand and did but had a few tap us on the shoulder to sit down from the section across the aisle. In Calgary I was about 2 rows behind where your row 20 would be but dead center infront of middle of the thrust maybe 8 rows back. We stood for the entire concert. I still viewed mostly from the large screen(s). Seeing the stage was ok but I had to look between two men infront of me...could I actually see Adam's face...not really. Thank gosh for the screens! And luckily the guys allowed me to have visual lane, as they pretty much kept in their spots. It was still pretty far back. I did see the band and Adam well enough when on the thrust, but I still felt far back. No one left our row so no distractions. The light show of lasers was especially spectacular and very sophisticated. It was worth the experience on the floor ....for the lighting. I thought the side sections do not get the overall effect. Now if you are on the floor on the side....I cannot predict if your experience would be as awesome. I chose to do floor again. I have no exact clue where row 17 is as the Calgary floor rows were not numbered. I am guessing based on pricing I got one row behind the Silver seats and perhaps three seats from side of the head of the guitar for 200.00 with taxes. Super happy. As you are shorter than me...it is a risk on the floor for direct viewing of the stage unless you are really close. The big screens are there for a reason. And I thank The QAL BUDGET FOR BIG ONES. I wish all Adam's concerts could afford them. Good luck with trying to make your decision

But...I will be able to see stuff.... HELP!!! The good thing for others is that once we decide, we will have 3 great seats to sell...and we did not have to go VIP or Platinum...175+ Tough decision. I've done both, and I actually prefer the side, just a few rows up. I'm short too, and I always end up with a football-player-sized person in front of me, so I can rarely see the stage from the floor. If I am on the side, the people in front of me are lower and sometimes I can see over their heads. I also get a better view of the lighting effects on the stage. Sometimes from the floor I can only see the upper part of the bodies on stage, so I miss the sexy dance moves. There is definitely a difference in atmosphere ... everyone on the floor will be standing and dancing, so there is more energy on the floor. Some sections of the side will stand, others will have people who make a fuss about the standees and want everyone to sit. I don't really care whether I sit or stand (although my feet prefer to sit!), I just want to see. And because I don't jump around, wave my arms, and sing (in consideration of the people around me, and because it just isn't my style), I don't need all the floor energy. So you have 3 considerations: How much energy do you want to participate in, how much do you want to see, and how much standing can your feet handle. Good luck with your decision ... whatever it is, I hope you have a great time!

Craazyforadam Spot on! I do think Adam has tried different things, like you said. With the Glam Nation he trusted his gut, did his thing. With Tresspasing he took total artistic control and put his hole in it, alot of thought. I do think he did try to please the pop market by producing with Max Martin and Shellback and to a certain degree he did realize/had to learn that even those two names aren't a guarantee (for more mainstream success, to fill stadiums). We'll see where Album 4 takes him, maybe he has found his way. You're part about performing with Queen as opposed to performing solo makes PERFECT sense! I also want him to be 'successful' if that is what he wants for himself. (I think he already is but I know what you mean, and I've stated my points to this several times) I don't have a preferred direction for his A4, the only thing I hoped for was that he trusts his own a bit more again, which he is apparently doing. I don't "ship" Adam recording with Queen, and I don't dread it, as long as he's singing What I am not indifferent about is QAL releasing the DVD/CD WORLDWIDE! I mean really!!! What the HECK is THAT all about?! I would like to talk about Adams guitarists. What I've realized but maybe I'd have to watch a couple videos just for THAT reason. Playing with Brian May, and Tommy Joe Ratliff Adam reacts to the guitar, he really feels it. It's like he's having sex with the guitar riffs. ( I hope this doesn't come over inappropriate) I kind of missed that with Adam Ross. I shows a bit in the solo during Lucy but not much else. I just want someone for Adam that can "rock his socks" *lol* Am I totally off or what do others think? Why I am here? I'm addicted to his voice I happen to love his music He is smart and reflective He inspires alot of people to be themselves, be more bold and brave His humor (seriously, the shit he does on stage! ) He is a one of a kind Performer/Entertainer, so divers His divers catalog, he dares to try different sounds and doesn't settle for one direction like Bon Jovi, Nicleback, Jack Johnson...where songs start to sound very similar... alisgr8 : thanks for posting and sharing. Loved reading it about the twitter party...the thing is...there's only 140 character...which doesn't leave much room for other questions than the same old "favorits" Adam doesn't like, there's just not enough room for a hole story about meeting Pharaoh or how the CMA award duett came bout...both interesting questions! @q3 because you stated that more could be made of Adams official fan club. You and glitzylady from 'Adam 24/7' could totaly kick that in high gear if Adam asked you to take the job. You two are so eloquent and diplomatic, I just love the excellent way you guys express yourselfs. I adore you both! ...and I'll just get in line on "long-post-day"

Read more: adamtopia.com/thread/4059/late-show-rolling-stone-more?page=2#ixzz4Xb3pUYDDAmazing stories. You are a very lucky fan, and you must have been the right combination of enthusiastic and respectful to deserve all this attention from the one and only. Thank you so much for sharing.

eeeeeek....now I need advice/feedback. JustKaren and Stampsgal....thank you so much for weighing in...I still haven't decided but appreciate the feedback. Stampsgal...you have pretty much iterated what I felt re the advantages of being on the floor...we are off to the side of the end of the thrust so I really fear for visuals any time the band and Adam are on the main stage as row 20 is pretty far back. But I love to be able to dance and move. Justkaren..my feet would be much happier with me on the side as well. We sat on the side but much higher up last time [about 17 or 18] but we were lucky that the whole side seemed happy to stand most of the time so no little taps on the shoulder. Likely that is what I would dislike the most...having peeps force you to sit through the whole show....sigh...Well, the one person I spoke to of us literally said it was good either way for her...pretty much agrees with me...and the other I could not get hold of...she is a newbie...first QAL or Adam show and a little more Queen fan at this point....gaaahhh

Allsgrt8, I loved reading your account! It really made me feel as if I was there as well. Although I am a new member(relatively"), I don't post much, but I lurk here about once a day, and many times, it has made me totally happy after a yucky day. I have seen Adam on his TOH tour in Denver and had great seats except there was an obnoxious man. Who had to be 6'4" standing in front of me holding his camera iPad the entire time, so I never had an unobstructed view. I cannot wait to see Adam with Queen! I can feel that electricity and fun through the screen, and I can only imagine it multiplied 1000 times at a live show. I love, love, love Queen as well as Adam. I hope their collaboration continues as long as Brian and Roger enjoy it and are healthy enough. I saw in somebody's listthat "Melancholy Blues" might be a possibility. That is one of my top favorite Queen songs of all time, but to me, Freddie's piano is sort of the "star" of that piece, just my opinion, a and I wouldn't want to see them apart. But I think if it just happened to be a chosen number, which I sort of doubt, I would hope it was performed without much or any camp--just let Adam's unadorned voice and if they could find any way to do it, that marvelous piano. Of course, since he says his next album has more blues and folk tunes, it might be good practice. Keep those wonderful accounts coming!
