The discussion reminds me of what came up when Adam celebrated Bowies Birthday all "glamed-up" with lipstick and all... what is the "true Adam"...stripped/toned down Adam where some persumed it is to appeal to a more mainstream audience or all glamed up...as I've said then...I think it's both "in him" and only he knows when he wants to channel which part... Agree with you completely...... (And I believe the 'true Adam' is the super-effeminate side of him.....go for it....I love him just as he is). My point was simply that I believe there is more depth to the community he inhabits than meets the instagram eye!!

about that picket fence though... I can relate somewhat to the uneasines some feel here... of course Adams introduction to Somebody to ist "just" a segway but I do think there is at least some deeper truth to it also to his songs like ANL GT... ...so to sum it up I'd love for him to find someone special and live his very own version of that picket fence in suburbia ...now getting back to my own life, the man is smart and can take care of himself^^

SophieB and marionm, I think we can agree that we want Adam to be himself ... and feel fulfilled both professionally and as a human being. That's a tough one for many, but likely even a harder thing to achieve for someone from the gay community who is also in the public eye. Adam's Banjee Ball IG post really got me thinking and probably made me feel a bit uneasy as I too saw deeper meaning in that particular post. I have no doubt that he is dealing with a constant struggle/challenge how best to portray himself as a commercially relevant artist while trying to stay true to himself. At the same time, as he hinted in a recent interview, he is ready to find that special someone in his life.
