Adam is a major label artist and has said before he wants mainstream success. Unless he says otherwise, I am going to guess he still wants to keep those things. How he gets there or keeps it is up to HIM tho. No one else can decide it is unimportant to him now or that he should forget that goal. We as fans can support him with his career choices. I have and will continue to do so. But I will not say mainstream success is not important to him or still his goal because it is difficult or based on who he socializes with or what his friends choose to do and how they present themselves. I follow the very interesting, gorgeous and talented Adam Lambert only. Not his friends. As long as he wants the high profile success, I will continue to want it for him. So far, he has done great with his solo career and with Queen. I think he likes to party and socialize underground but I doubt he wants to take his career back underground. But if he does, it will and should be his choice.

I don't think anyone was saying Adam doesn't want main stream success. I wasn't anyway. I think the 3 of us who agreed with each other were just saying, he should be able to be himself, let his freak flag fly, or whatever w/o worrying about it! Let me add, I don't think he worries about being himself. Especially now with WBR and DMG, i think he gets 100% creative support!

I wish and pray that he does get main stream success. His voice is too good not to have that. He even said recently that radio is more of a vibe than a voice. I also couldn't care less who he socializes with. They are all good people...just different and exciting. True individuals following their own path freely. I'm sure only the fandom really knows who they are. It should make no difference imo. I'm sure WBR supports him as well as DMG. WBR wanted him. They didn't have to sign him at all. They know his tremendous talent. It is just taking longer for him to hit one out of the park. It will happen though. It has to. Real true talent in him can't be denied forever. He doesn't give up and neither will I.

Last night we watched the documentary "Tab Hunter Confidential." His heyday was a few years ahead of me but I do remember him. It was interesting (and sad) to see how so many of the old Hollywood stars had to hide their sexuality (and many probably still do...). I'm just happy that Adam feels free to express his, without apology, even if some of the things he enjoys make some of us a little uncomfortable sometimes. I admit I personally don't see the appeal of going to clubs of any kind - too noisy, and I don't dance! Haha! And staying up half the night and sleeping away any amount of daylight. But if Adam is happy and creative, that makes me happy.
Have to laugh about someone's comment about Adam's neighbors. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be happy with all-night parties next door. I sound like a real stick-in-the mud, don't I? Must be a big change for Pharaoh too, although he looks like he enjoys himself.

The houses are very secluded and situated so that they don't even face each other. I don't think a "morning" person can ever understand a "night" person or vice versa. I have both in my family. As a matter of fact, hubby and I are exact opposites. Adam's job requires very late hours, so i think he is lucky that his inner clock works that way. My hubby worked graveyard shifts for years and loved it. Me, I wouldn't last one night! Also, just because someone leaves a party in the morning, doesn't mean the party lasted all night. Spending the night, after heavy drinking is a very good thing! But we do know Adam's normal bedtime is around 5 a.m.

I am pretty sure far as I know Adam still wants Top 40 Success. His albums always have a range of genres. Sounds like Adam is moving in a more earthy, bluesy direction. I would be surprised if we saw much EDM on his next album. IF you listin to his inspiration playlist. I am betting alot of the matarial, maybe inspired by some of that work. Alot of it is Alt Music. But most of his actual radio releases. Well still be Top 40 in mind. The same writer who added the Deep House influence to GT. Looks likely to be on A4. GT was his biggest radio hit since WWFM. So would have no problem with another Deep House Pop Track. GT is top 3 fav Adam song for me. With Sleepwalker and Runnin. That is the thing with Adam, he is forever evolving. It is why he one of the few artists I follow, he is unpredictable. I actually have no idea what to expect on A4. And that is exciting, well to me anyway haha.

In the US, IIHY was actually bigger than GT. But it is almost impossible to compare 2010 and 2015. So much has changed. Internationally, GT was definitely the 2nd biggest hit, after WWFM. Here is Adam's page at BB for Hot 100. If you want to check out all his other BB charts, just use the little pull down menu next to where it says "30 Charts" www.billboard.com/artist/278006/adam-lambert/chart

If we didn't see it, we wouldn't be talking about it. He's a grown man. Period. I saw the Tab Hunter documentary, too, and it was excellent. Those times were so different. A gay actor didn't dare come out in those days. Their careers would have ended in a heartbeat. Things still aren't easy, but at least there is more acceptance. I can't imagine Adam having to live his true life in secret, pretending to be straight. It's got to be exhausting. Many gay people still do it, though. It's a survival strategy. As for To 40, etc. I know I've said this many times. I hope Adam gets a chance to do a little acting again. Diversifying can be the key to survival in show business. To have to rely on a new album every year or so is not easy. Even the top-most singers usually don't have a lifetime of hits. Adam is still struggling to get that "break-through" song that should open other doors for him. I pray it happens with A4. He's got more to offer as an entertainer than most people realize. To most, he's still "that gay guy from Idol." A mega-big song on Billboard. A director or producer somewhere who wants to give him another acting opportunity. SOMETHING GOOD! PLEASE!
