Diversifying IS key to show business longevity. I hope he gets a big fat juicy role in the Freddie movie. It would be wonderful exposure. I think he has been trying to diversify for some time now. That's great. He is very smart imo doing stuff like Glee. You are right about the top singers not having a lifetime of hits. Adam can also do Broadway and be a smash with that voice. I just don't want to see him do Broadway right now. He does have the option though for years to come. I think his voice will mellow beautifully as he gets older for Broadway.

Last night we watched the documentary "Tab Hunter Confidential." His heyday was a few years ahead of me but I do remember him. It was interesting (and sad) to see how so many of the old Hollywood stars had to hide their sexuality (and many probably still do...). I'm just happy that Adam feels free to express his, without apology, even if some of the things he enjoys make some of us a little uncomfortable sometimes. I admit I personally don't see the appeal of going to clubs of any kind - too noisy, and I don't dance! Haha! And staying up half the night and sleeping away any amount of daylight. But if Adam is happy and creative, that makes me happy. Have to laugh about someone's comment about Adam's neighbors. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be happy with all-night parties next door. I sound like a real stick-in-the mud, don't I? Must be a big change for Pharaoh too, although he looks like he enjoys himself. Where did the "Tab Hunter Confidential" air? I would love to try to catch it. But you are right, that it is good that Hollywood stars for the most part don't need to hide anymore. Wentworth Miller, Matt Bomer, Neil Patrick Harris, Zachary Quinto can play straight or gay roles successfully and most don't care. Everyone is aware of their sexuality, as they don't hide it anymore. The media and fans just treat their orientation as an important part of who they are but not the only thing. Progress, indeed, when talent from anyone is recognized and allowed to grow no matter the race or sexuality.

Besides them both being gay, another linkage to Adam in the movie was that Warner Brother's Records started because of Tab. I couldn't remember all the details but I researched it more on Tab's wiki: Hunter had a 1957 hit record with the song "Young Love," which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six weeks (seven weeks on the UK Chart) and became one of the larger hits of the Rock 'n' Roll era.[5] It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA.[9] He also had the hit, "Ninety-Nine Ways," which peaked at No. 11. His success prompted Jack L. Warner to enforce the actor's contract with the Warner Bros. studio by banning Dot Records, the label for which Hunter had recorded the single (and which was owned by rival Paramount Pictures), from releasing a follow-up album he had recorded for them. He established Warner Bros. Records specifically for Hunter.

I am pretty sure far as I know Adam still wants Top 40 Success. His albums always have a range of genres. Sounds like Adam is moving in a more earthy, bluesy direction. I would be surprised if we saw much EDM on his next album. IF you listin to his inspiration playlist. I am betting alot of the matarial, maybe inspired by some of that work. Alot of it is Alt Music. But most of his actual radio releases. Well still be Top 40 in mind. The same writer who added the Deep House influence to GT. Looks likely to be on A4. GT was his biggest radio hit since WWFM. So would have no problem with another Deep House Pop Track. GT is top 3 fav Adam song for me. With Sleepwalker and Runnin. That is the thing with Adam, he is forever evolving. It is why he one of the few artists I follow, he is unpredictable. I actually have no idea what to expect on A4. And that is exciting, well to me anyway haha. In the US, IIHY was actually bigger than GT. But it is almost impossible to compare 2010 and 2015. So much has changed. Internationally, GT was definitely the 2nd biggest hit, after WWFM. Here is Adam's page at BB for Hot 100. If you want to check out all his other BB charts, just use the little pull down menu next to where it says "30 Charts" www.billboard.com/artist/278006/adam-lambert/chartYeah but I was looking at the mentality. Adam haden't had a hit since WWFM. Well he definately hasen't had a Top Ten BB Hot 100 hit since. But as you said the landscape has changed alot since 2010. Streaming particularly. GT peaked I see 64. WWFM #10. Guess GT didn't peak high enough for various reasons I am guessing. IIHY was a bit hit over here too. From my recollection it peaked around #5 over here on the RIANZ Top 40. But GT never charted here at all. Just diddn't resonate with Radio over here. Which is odd considering radio over here is always receptive to Adam singles. His last one before GT was NCOE and peaked Top 40 too. WE got Fever and Sure Fire Winners too. Adam seems to want to diversify as an artist, which is great. I think A4 well be completely different from 1-3. It won't be what we quite expected, it won't be quite what we wanted. But it well be his best work yet.

The trailer and full length 'Tab Hunter Confidential Documentary 2015' are both available to view on youtube. If anyone wants to watch it or doesn't have netflix. I think I'll bookmark it myself. What a shame so many lgbt had to hide their real selves back then. Times are changing. That is a blessing.

I just decided to look up "Ninety-Nine Ways" on YouTube and saw this interesting comment: He was knocking out one hit after another but Warner Bros killed his singing career when they started Warner Bros Records. They made him leave Dot Records and only record on WB records. Tab said they had a lousy A&R depart and the magic was gone that he had with Dot and the hits stopped coming.
