Back from the Nashville concert. It was GREAT! Loved it! He was relaxed and funny "Heart on", etc. great vocals and overall good energy. I had been a little concerned prior...and because tickets were still available up until the last minute....that this show might not be a great show.....but I was mistaken. It looked full at showtime. We walked around the venue yesterday morning....no visible advertising except the digital sign that mentioned the QAL show once in a blue moon. We had to wait around for ages to get a pic on the sign about the show yesterday. None of the local folks in the shops around there know that QAL was performing...altho many said they would love to see them, etc. I'm grateful that Lynneville and Noskerdycat got vids. There may not be many more. I'm also thrilled that Adam tweeted "Thanks Nashville". Makes it seem all the more special to me.
Incendentals...
We did all put on our pink flamingo head bands for 2Fux.....since we all were scattered and far from where he sang...not sure he saw them. Justwishin who was on the Gaga barricade put hers back on....and she's not sure if he noticed or not. So no revelations concerning the pink flamingos....lol The three Glamberts on the front row at thrust had on their devil horns and two crowns. He couldn't help but see those.....lol.
Another reason this, my final show, turned out to be fantastic is I got to sit on the front row Adam's side! I had a silver VIP seat on the other side on Row 6 seat 8....in the middle of the row. It was a good seat....but not the greatest. About mid afternoon yesterday Justwishin was looking on TM and noticed they had pulled the interactive map and she was just scolling thru the tickets....and spotted Sec 3 Row 1 seats for $170.....wut? Long story short.....we high tailed it to the Box Office which was adjacent to our hotel and yes they had 3 seats left on the first row of "Adam's side". So I "upgraded" to that seat...didn't use the Silver seat. I rationalized that the cost combined would be the same as a Golden.....and this was my "hometown" show afterall. All made perfect sense to me...lol. I sat next to 3 Queen dudes from Kentucky who had noticed TM had front row seats and they grabbed the three next to me prior to us noticing them. The Queen dude next to them was mad that he had paid way more $ that that for his seat. Seems the venue decided to extend that front row....where it's usually short and had 4 - 6 seats....all the way to 12 seats. They also filled in Row 1 of Sec B at the end of the thrust....so those folks who bought Row 2 Sec B seats and thought they would be front row were now actually second row. Some unhappy folks there. I was a little concerned the view would be too wide, but I wound up in seat 9 when one of the Kentucky tall Queen dudes offered to let me be closer and see better. He was really tall and could see everything anyway. Here I was enjoying my hometown show propped on the front row barricade. I feel so lucky and grateful. Adam came over to the little guitar protrusion a couple of times and was right there in front of me. I could have gotten some good pics....but I forced myself to look right at him and not get out my phone. I also had a wonderful vision line to the Bstage and could watch that without heads, etc. So, the concert I was most concerned about turned out to be one of the best I saw.
