Happy I had the chance to see it live. Same here. It was fantastic live but the videos are pretty damn good. At least we have those. It is a perfect song for Adam.

Where were you sitting both nights? Because I thought the opposite. In Dallas I was 4th row dead center in front of stage and sound was muddy. Also lots of tall people surrounding me which might have been absorbing some of the sound. In Houston I was 4th row in the stands opposite where the bicycle comes up. But of the 8 concerts I went to, I thought the best audio was: 1) Hollywood 2, I was 5th row in the bowl 2) Nashville, I was 8th row from stage, seat next to catwalk Sound is so dependent on many things, including the equipment, the arena construction, and the listeners location! But I must say, the sound near the front of the stage was far better than I expected as this is usually a trouble area for sound. And I can hear one thing at the arena and listen to my recorded audio later and it may sound very different, i.e., less or more muddy than what I heard live. Recorded sound is also dependent on the recording equipment! In Nashville I walked past the sound booth on the way out and complimented the audio guys. I asked them how they got the sound so good and they just said that they really worked on it. Almost the same place, both shows. listen to my Dallas videos. Audio is excellent! Like I said, it also depends on the recording device. Muddiness in audio is usually due to issues in the low frequencies. Most non-professional video recorders & smartphones have a frequency response that tapers off faster at the low frequency end (aka, low frequency roll-off) because the mics on these devices cannot handle heavy or loud low frequencies. Thus they will not pick up some of the muddiness caused by low frequency issues. On the other hand, I am using high quality mics with a very good response to low end frequencies and no low-end roll-off and a recorder with a mic battery pack all of which together can pick up lower frequencies without distorting. However, that also means that they will pick up more of the low-frequency muddiness. And my location in Dallas, exactly half-way between the sides and half-way front to back, is a prime location for sound waves of some frequencies to cancel each other out, contributing to the muddiness. Also, ears have a different frequency response from person to person. Recording devices, audio players, speakers, and headphones also all have very different frequency responses. When listening to the QAL live streaming, and some of the YouTube videos, they sound horrible if I listen with good headphones. But over my cell phone's speakers, they sound pretty good. My Dallas recording is not as muddy as the audio sounded live to me. Live, I could not hear the words Adam was singing in a number of places and Dallas was the only concert where I had that problem live. Also, I was recording with cardioid mics which record sound in about a 90 deg arc straight forward. These mics pick up less audience conversations and less echo off the arena walls and are generally the type of mic to use if not real close to the speakers. On the other hand, ears are pointed to hear in an arc of 180-360 degree. Omni mics, which record sound in near 360 degrees, would be more like my ears. So my ears and my mics will pick up the sound, and the results of sound waves clashing in different directions, in a different manner and thus the recording may sound more or less different than the live experience. Another note, my 2 Hollywood audio recordings have the best sound of my 8 recordings. There is no bouncing of sound waves off arena walls, just a tiny bit of bouncing off the hills. The sound is full, clear, expansive and open!!! All of the arena recordings have some echo from sound waves bouncing off the walls. My Hollywood 2 and Nashville, and the Queen Online fan's New York recordings, have an extra strong bass sound. But, if played on the typical car stereo or cheap earphones, one may not be able to tell much difference. Listen to my FLAC files on a PC with a good sound card (HP with Beats audio, or equivalent) and high quality headphones and there is a BIG difference! This is just a tiny taste of why it is SO hard for sound engineers to get audio right in an arena!!! It gets way more complex than what I have described. I was REALLY impressed with the overall quality of sound in all of the QAL concerts I went to!!!

In love with this and It's Late from Seattle. They have both been on repeat since Sunday. Adam's voice touches my soul. THANK YOU ALL for painstakingly recording the shows which are the gifts which keep giving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy I had the chance to see it live. Me too! One of the memories that keeps coming into my brain is of Adam emoting that song just 10 ft from me, his arm opening wide and lifting his eyes to the "sky" ( ceiling ) ...spreading his wing. Ahhhhhh....sigh.... really good vid ...close up ....Edmonton ....sigh...worth another watch!

Wish that circumstances had been different and I could have seen the concert more than once. To be honest by looking at videos I missed a lot. Frankly the production was too much for me. I could only concentrate on Adam and sometimes the production dimmed that for me. There was just so much to see. You lucky guys that got to go to more than one concert had time, i think, to adjust and take in more. I had a great seat, right by the bike, and got to see him up close and I will never forget that. I think it was the middle of GDML before the OMG kicked in!
