So if Adam is going vegan, is he going to get rid of all of his leather?? I haven't listened to the interview yet... I try to reduce our meat consumption but without a lot of success. Whenever we drive through eastern Washington and Oregon I'm struck by how much land (and water) is devoted to growing hay for cattle. We buy our beef from a local farmer about a half mile away. And half a pig a year from another local farm that raises them in humane conditions. Could probably do better on chicken and eggs. And never never never buy farmed salmon!! Adam! You hear that? Haha. Nah, I don't think he will. I've been a strict vegetarian for forever (from before it became fashionable 😄) and even I have kept my leather clothes. I have even bought some new on occasion where it was too hard to do otherwise (shoes! it is close to impossible to find nice shoes without leather), but even then I tried to buy second hand. Adam is not going to be strict about being a vegan, I guess, and he tells the interviewer he does it for health reasons. So I think we can rest assured that we are going to get some more tight leather pants in the future. Also, not going to preach here, but the amount of resources needed to 'produce' meet is indeed shockingly high. So if I can help people with good vegan / vegetarian recipes, please DM, I'd be happy to get you some. And... Plenty of protein sources besides quinoa The

Thanks Simone. I might try and watch it and see if it'll move me like it did Adam. lol Aspiring to vegan is very trendy now. Kinda like gluten free I think perhaps I should try vegetarian first before diving into vegan. I'm liking the sound of lelemaple's vegetarian plus fish. I read some counter articles debunking some of the claims in the documentary...especially about one egg equaling 5 cigarettes. I've been eating one egg every morning for a while...per Dr Oz...and it sticks with me all morning. Guess I'd need to stop that..

Plenty of protein sources besides quinoa The I think the "quinoa" comment was directed at me haha. I know... Still, I consider a vegan diet very limiting, and inconvenient, even with a stockpile of nuts and seeds and legumes. I underestimated the oats though, but no eggs and no dairy/cheese is the deal breaker for me. I appreciate your chart ...very educational, thanks!

What a whiny nasaly mess! ... besides I could not even understand what he sang. And he is one of the top selling male pop stars?? b Sorry...but I am fuming...and confused." I brought this post over from yesterday to comment. I did not see that performance but I said when I first heard the song that SS is singing like he has marbles in his mouth. There is nothing really moving or noteworthy about that song. It sounds like everything else he does. That undeniable hit song criteria that some keep applying to Adam seems just made up to me. Songs become hits because radio will play them to death and acts get many appearances on major shows and award shows to promote their songs. They are undeniable hits because of who they are and you know almost before hand they will be hits. If you look at someone like Carrie Underwood, automatically she will have several undeniable hits from her album because county will play her into multiple #1 spots even when the song or songs are not that good. That is the case for many other artists so not picking on SS. Thanks for bringing it over, @lurleene - I am definitely thankful for responses as they are "therapy" for me lol. (even my DH who thought prior to watching that I am just biased, didn't make it through either of his performances). Sometimes it just doesn't make sense to me why some artists get the benefit of the doubt over others. Last SNL was an extreme case for me. CU...I get why country fans like her. She is good looking, nice voice, non threatening, all American. Not my cuppa though. Well Adam and Sam are friends. So i Don't think it is neccessary for any of Adams fan to try and diminish SS success some what. Just to elevate Adam. I think Adam is doing fine on his own hahaha, just saying. SS has an okay voice, nice tone. I can't say I am fuming or angry that he has great success, good on him. He has done well, and made a big impact for all LGBT artists I suspose. OF course Adam was the trailblazer in 2009. But SS has carried that to new heights. Obviousley before then Elton John and George Michael. I do like some of SS songs. So I can't say I agree his songs are not that good. He fits a certain format in the music scene, AC. Adam two biggest hits WWFM and GT. Are both monster HAC hits. Maybe that is Adams format for radio, HAC. I'll say too Sam is safe. He is also british, american consumers like that. Adam being out, american, very sexual in some ways. He is like a hurricane some can only deal with him in drizzles. I used to in the past get hung up on other artists having more success then Adam. Even though their songs sound all the same, and they can't even sing that well lol. But realize it is pointless end of the day. Adam is Adam, he has his own path.

He said "vegan" guys! That's really hard! It is hard! I have family members who are vegan and they claim whatever minor health issues they had before totally cleared up. I have great admiration for people who can manage this. I have a neice that suffered greatly from juvenile arthritis and it’s side effects . Once she was old enough to make her own health decisions, she went vegan raw about 15 years ago. Amazing results. Very challenging but is now married and raising 6 children in that life style. No way I could do that but it has worked tremendously well for them - vegan thin but very healthy adults and children.
