Jennifer @krakenwithaplan @14gelly They played Welcome to The Show over the preview of the next episode of a Swedish reality show called "Allt för Sverige"😊just aired That's great! Laleh lives in Sweden and I think is a pretty big star there, so that helps. And I think that show is pretty popular too.

@graciejane why would it be hard on his confidence and will? Genuinely asking out of wonderment not in a confronting way... Adam is a music lover, my take would be he simply enjoys them and or finds inspiration... How much success he really wants for himself remains speculation. My guess is it's a back and forth of being content an wanting more. That the business is not solely about talent is fact and he knows that and has said so. Glad I'm not the only one who's having a grumpy day^^...starting with the hissy fit this morning, I've been bitchy all day...but those upcoming concerts sure give me a boost loool Speaking of grumpy..."grumpy old men" is one good movie, sure to make you laugh No doubt Adam enjoys other artists’ music. But imo, it would be hard at some level, to see others having popular market success when you work equally or harder. Does looking to someone else for inspiration not at some level say they have achieved something you have not? One does not work as hard as he does without some desire for success and recognition. Just normal human emotions, hence my wonder/worry comment. None of us know exactly what he wants, he may not either, as those desires may ebb and flow for many reasons. I’m not grumpy, at least I don’t think I am, just kicking some thoughts around. I didn't mean you with the grumpy...there were other people who stated, that they were...that's what I was referring to.

I guess I am somebody who isn’t going to waste energy even thinking about what hasn’t happened yet or may never happen for Adam. After eight years, I am just going to enjoy whatever happens. For me, this should be fun and a pleasure. I should be as fortunate as Adam. Dude has a great life So many great things in Adam's life! I can never understand those that seem to focus on what is NOT happening!

I didn't mean you with the grumpy...there were other people who stated, that they were...that's what I was referring to. It isn't always about being a top seller. Kesha was performing there and she's been gone for quite a while with her legal problems. She sings okay, and she had pretty much just one big hit, Tik Tok. But she's back and readily asked to perform at this event. I know she has a new song/album out. I think her personal story, for good or ill, helped her get back in there so easily. And yes, I agree with all the reasons that Adam is not up there with them (no new music in quite a while, etc.) I get it. It's true. It's not about the voice. But Adam is always careful to make himself seen at these things. And to answer the question "does he care?" if he's part of these things or not? I say, HELL YES, he cares. IMO, he cares very much about being highly successful. He'd love a huge hit and all that comes with it. That's how I see it, anyway.

I'm not assuming that it's an "either-or" situation, but the last couple of weeks taught us that the phenomena is very wide spread, especially when you're a woman or a gay man. I was just going to say pretty much the same thing, katycake. If there is anything to learn about this "Me Too" campaign, it is the ubiquity of harassment in the entertainment industry, as well as our whole society. Adam virtually NEVER lets us know the negative issues and situations he deals with or has ever dealt with....that is his way. I do not for one minute believe he does not have these things to deal with, simply that he only even hints publicly of these things much later. It took him quite some time to hint at the pressures he was subjected to, and his fears for his career, after the whole AMA mess....and to argue that this did not impact his career is, IMHO, a bit unreasonable [albeit there are many here who will always argue this]. He was poised to be the breakthrough Gay Artist....then was shut out...and they settled on Frank Ocean and Sam Smith for the honor....the music industry was courting Adam in a big way till then. Would Adam have benefitted long term from that...?...we will never know....I think he would have 'conquered Europe regardless....but QAL may never have happened...or it may have....it is all good. He is in a good place, still has all his long term friends, and a good life. That is the important thing. As well...he is someone who is giving other lgbt artists a role model ... and that would not necessarily have been the case if he would have succumbed to keeping his sexuality low key. For these reasons, it is easily argued that the AMA show was the best long-term thing that could have happened. I think. I think so too. And first impression counts. We may never know the multitude of experiences that preceded the AMAs so that things went down the way they did. But I do remember Adam's advice to one of the contestants on X-Factor AU last year who had a bit of an "attitude". Adam told him to be careful, as one wrong move or bad impression and you're out.
