Adam may not get the part of Judas. But why think it is because he is not a big enough star? That is too often the easy reach. He is not exactly unknown or unaccomplished. There are many stars who don't get parts. Not always because they are not big enough. Everyone can't get them and it is normally a matter of preference. We don't even know if Adam tried to get it, do we? If he did, there could be a number of reasons why he was not selected. Maybe they don't think he would fit with Legend. Or he is too much taller than Legend. Too pretty. Voice too different and powerful. I can think of any number of reasons (which may not be correct) as to why he may not be chosen or perfect in their eyes. If he even went for it or has the time and availability when they need him. We are always projecting what WE want for Adam and when it doesn't happen we fret. How do we even know it was what he wanted or whether he was available or even tried etc etc etc!!! He is definitely a big enough star, he has the chops and experience, he's already done a made for TV musical where he got great reviews. I think we have to stop making statements about things we know nothing about! But . . . projecting, discussing things we don't know enough about, guessing: that's what makes it all fun. :D

I know, that IS fun, but then we start the whole why didn't he get it conversation which turns into , he's not a big enough star, or wasn't even considered, etc. I love discussing the possibilities that are there for Adam's career but I will not go down that road! Maybe it's just!!!!! I just want to be surprised about what he does get and when he confirms it to his fans!!

LOL I had to look up frisson. Kinda guessed at the meaning and was right. Yes, a strong feeling of excitement and fear. ...a thrill. Since they're being "edgy" with a black Jesus, maybe they'd like to extend that edginess with a gay Judas. Adam has said he wouldn't want to play a regular Judas....would want to play Judas as being "in love" with Jesus. Not sure how you could develop that thru songs...but maybe thru looks, touches when Judas and Jesus are together, and that one kiss. ....Anyway, I need to think about something else while we wait. LOL Sorry about the frisson.... (But there would be, wouldn't there? especially if Adam's Judas were to be gay! ) OK....we've cast it, written the script, given notes to the actors..... now I have to empty the dishwasher before writing the reviews....

Personally I would love Adam to get the part of Judas, but think the TV production would not be the best way to show caseJCS. All those commercials that take away from the play.. I have given up watching TV musicals ,because I can't stand the constant interruptions.
Yes some of us build houses in the sky and live in them... Maybe fun for some but quite disappointing for others...We know nothing except that Adam wants to play the part of Judas .He said a showcase where he can add a different take on the Judas relationship with Jesus..I'm a bit disappointed in the choice of Legend.. I like him and think he has a good , voice, but not for the Jesus part .. I really thought Leto would be perfect for either lead part.I have the feeling that Adam will one day have his dream met in the medium that would be best for him. IMHO the stage or a movie....Will see what happens.

We fans want it all and we want it now. lol It's not about our wants, it's about what is best for Adam and what he wants now. If it happens..good....if it doesn't...that's OK.... onward and upward to more QAL and Era 4 and maybe a surprise from time to time.

Very interesting graciejane! Just coincidence I image, but when I saw his location tag I was 🧐🧐🧐🧐. Am wondering why they chose a big old warehouse rather a more acoustically suited theater venue for a one off live performance that feature ‘voices’ though. In the interview with the producers posted a week or so ago they talked about how they had to use the parking lot and everything to do all their locations. They were going to make JCS smaller but they still likely need more than one "stage" to keep everything moving by tv time.
