I do believe that the guy simply didn't think about Adam, with no ill intention. He was reminded, and he corrected himself...
I do get the frustration though, because Adam did have to put up with a lot of shit. He is a trailblazer, nothing can take away from it. The difference between Adam and most other LBQT artists is that Adam was out before he had even one hit under his belt.

The idea of donating to an animal rescue site in honor of Adam and his birthday is certainly appropriate! Just this afternoon I drove by a little makeshift 'booth' in Coffey Park (where over 1000 homes were destroyed in October's Sonoma County Tubbs fire) that displays photos of rescued or lost animals, in hopes of reuniting them with their owners. This little booth is maintained by a group of volunteers, c alled 'The Sonoma and Napa Fire Pets Rescue and Reunification Team'. I googled this team, and was led to what I think is another very worthy animal rescue organization - one that has worked to rescue animals of all species, through the hurricanes of 2017, as well as the fires of autumn. Please take a look at 'TipsfromSurvivors.org' . . . and their 'TFS Animal Reunification' division. Within this site are many ancillary rescue and shelter organizations. All have worked to locate, rescue, and/or reunite beloved pets with their owners; and many provide needed veterinary care. The night of the fire, as my husband and I fled the flames, we came down from our 'Mayacama' mountains to the only stoplight on our road. There, a traffic officer was overriding the signal and having everyone evacuate using both sides of the road. I was so touched to see, parked along the side of the road, a long line of pick-up trucks and horse trailers - just waiting for the 'OK' to head into harm's way to rescue livestock. Such selfless, immediate, and organized bravery! Maybe each of us could contribute to a chosen animal rescue group - and then, somehow, tweet or send an instagram message to Adam, letting him know. The tragedies of 2017 displaced so many loving animals; this is a way to acknowledge this truth, be of help, and celebrate the man who has, dare I say, changed our lives. Just my thoughts . . . . Whether our group decides to donate to this effort,I've found my organization! As many of you have found out there are a variety of rescue centers - this one seems to bring them all together under one umbrella. Here in TN we have a wonderful organization that takes in older "folks". This sanctuary stole my heart years ago and my efforts are centered there normally. But, for Adam's birthday, I'll send a donation elsewhere as the need is so much greater on the coast right now. I totally agree with you. There are so many organizations listed here, I think there is something there for everyone. i really like this idea, because it is very much personal to us here, as well as important for CA right now, and given the one year anniversary of Pharaoh, it is clearly meaningful for Adam. So it checks all the boxes in my book. Here is the direct link to the animal reunification page within the site: tipsfromsurvivors.org/reunification/I verified for the first two organizations, but I presume that most on the list would accept both paypal and credit cards, and so if anyone would like to donate to California, it should be possible without problem, even from other countries. As suggested, I would also like to add www.walkmehomerescue.org , the organization that Pharaoh came from, and www.vcas.us/ from Ventura county to the list. Do you guys want me to try to set something up via causevox.com, to make it a more unified effort and get some kind of tally, if possible? I have a question in with their customer support, whether they allow a page with multiple charities, and if yes, how that works. But I think, I will only hear back on Monday. They do have a feature that allows the addition of individual fundraising pages, just don't know the details yet, i.e. how that works from a cost standpoint, and whether our international fans can be included. Will keep you posted.

you know it's not bad when you have 1.1 million instagram followers and 10% like a picture you share in the first hour, midnight at that. I think it's a pretty good percentage anyway.

Thank you. Sometimes I wish people could let it go. The guy admitted that he forgot about Adam in the moment. If he did not think of Adam, he can also not rephrase a statement in a way that it includes Adam to begin with. He just for a moment presumed that Troye was the first. He got told, and he reacted iwth recognition for Adam. What more can anyone want, in hindsight. Yes, I wish more people would remember to think of Adam right away, but it is what it is. Adam spoke to us at the time, but others were at that time not receptive or not paying attention, or somehow did not get what Adam was doing. It happens. There are probably many artist that do valuable work, but I don't get it, or it does not speak to me. It is that way for everybody. No need to put down Troy -, presumably because that somehow lifts Adam up, just makes my eyes roll, tbh Troy is cute, has a wonderful sense of humor, and makes some darn good videos, and has a really interesting online presence. Yes, I am also not looking at him in a sexual way, just like you don't, because he is about a third my age or something and younger in his thinking, so less for me. But I don't blame my daughter for being fond of him. There are many artists for many different people. It is all good. I am sorry but I disagree. This is not just a one off thing. Adam fans prob responded to this more then usual. Because its the BS Adam has had to deal with since is AMA Performance in 2009. Being Black listed, in many forms. It is not the first time Adam has been dismissed for his influence on LGBT artists since 2009. And unfortunately it won't be the last. Adams performance in 2009 AMAS stopped the potential for him getting commerical success But it opened the door for other LGBT artists to do so. Agree with you on the bold part. So, what is it that you disagree with? Anyhoo...just think that Adam overcame all of that, and we should celebrate with him what he was able to achieve, rather than berate the bye-gone (s) that were overcome. All the nay-sayers have been left behind, all these people who wrote him off. Yes, here, 8 years later, with fame, fortune, a record contract, tons of opportunities world wide, tons of friends, tons of fans.... yes, it was hard and there were hurdles. More than enough. But look where he is, and even those that willingly or unwillingly forget about him, have to acknowledge the reality when reminded. Let's just look forward instead of back, is all I am saying.

They do mention Adam, but in a sense that he chose to get back into the closet. As if he had a choice in the matter. billboard @billboard .@troyesivan & @hayleykiyoko are boldly normalizing same-sex erotic attraction blbrd.cm/U9u5Ot Adam parts: And yet with all that progress, there haven't been that many music videos from A- (or even B-) list queer artists that unabashedly celebrate queer sexuality. The exceptions prove the rule: Adam Lambert kissed a man onstage at the 2009 AMAs for one second and the pearl-clutching backlash (even from some progressives) ensured that we wouldn't be seeing libidinous imagery in his videos for some time. Sam Smith, while open about his orientation in interviews, steers clear of carnality in his videos. And that's fine -- not every queer artist is required to represent every single aspect of the LGBTQ experience (and for what it's worth, lusty videos would hardly gel with Smith's melancholy soul sound). ...... In one sense, there's nothing new about this. Female pop stars have been employing queer backup dancers for decades, and even when those stars are straight, it's still an invitation for the viewer to enjoy and celebrate queer libido. And yes, Lambert has certainly danced with men onscreen before. But we've never seen a mainstream queer pop star acting so comfortably erotic in tandem with same-sex people in a video before. Adam also got a lot of flack from the gay community. I was just reading an old article the other day where a gay publication said Adam mistook shock value (In reference to the AMA) to equal music. He took a lot of sh** from a lot of people who are now wondering why some are more accepted now. My question is have any of these people who could have made a difference (who wanted him to put out more) ever screamed out loudly and consistently for Adam to get more radio play in the US? That is how you move up the charts. No. They sat back and said nothing. I remember when Elvis Duran said he would not play FYE on one of the biggest radio stations in the US. At the end of the day, that is what pushed some of these others higher up. They got more US radio play which helped with more acceptance and opportunities. It was not boldness, or sexier or braver it was radio play. TBH, I hope Adam will ignore them all (advance his career as he wants not how or what they want) and continue to be the sexy, rockstar with the unchallenged vocals that he is. IMO he is beyond being a pop star. His talent is too great to be defined by his sexuality alone. He was out of the closet at the beginning of his career and no one can take that bravery from him. Exactly. I'm getting those OUT magazine flashbacks. Some person who does not even follow Adam regularly, trying to tell Adam, what kind of public space Adam is supposed to reside in. What kind of 'gay' he is supposed to be and what his duty and service to the community ought to be.

So Adam posts a gorgeous facial shot on Instagram but it's not a new one, it must be a couple of years old now. (I think it's from the shoot where he posed with the photographer's little dog).
My thinking is that he's expecting some new people to be checking out his Insta account in the near future so he went looking for a suitable pic which will be the first one they see.
Which would suggest that news is imminent........
