Ahhh....the lovely chair and a necklace made from Roger's cymbals. The necklace is a neat treasure, most of those packages are mostly stuff to be stuffed in the closet somewhere.

Just able to pop in and comment. For me, I am not interested in any Queen cover band and not concerned about them verses Adam. I just remember Adam making the comment that he thought it would tacky to imitate Freddie and then I'm good with whatever comments they make. I'm with you on this. Adam is the Queen frontman and making millions and receiving praise for his performances in arenas all over the world. He is also making millions as a major label solo artist. The others are making money and a living as tribute acts so no reason to for me to wonder how good they are or not. Brian and Rodger could have chosen Marc or someone else after or before Paul. They chose Adam. It probably hurt Marc and his fans but B & R did not want an imitation of Freddie for their band. They wanted someone who could sing the songs and do them justice, while lighting up the stage with his showmanship. Yes some of the fans were angry and made nasty comments about Adam but he was on to the next show and the next country. QAL had and have arenas to fill and many fans to please. Wish Marc luck and hope he is not doing something to offend Brian and Roger. But if this is his only way to make a living and have a career then I don't know what to think or why it was done. But I'm happy it does not involve Adam or QAL and all they are accomplishing. Two very different careers on many levels. lurleene, perfectly put! No need for jealousy or comparison of this issue. Adam is with THE band. And while I've enjoyed other cover bands over the years (the ones that try to copy the original in every way, including looks, clothes, voice) I still love the original bands the most. Adam is definitely in the best possible place when it comes to working for a vintage band. Hell, he MADE the rebirth happen! I hope Marc does ok. His voice is fine for the cover band thing. It's a struggle out there in the music biz.

How much do I hope that all those professional Queen cameras that record every aspect of the QAL performances will someday be made available as a DVD. So Very Much.

What surprises me is that Queen Ex is touring around the UK so close to QAL Tour of 2017, and in particular with the London shows INCLUDED with the next QAL, go around summer leg tour, of Europe. It seems to me, to be a saturation of Queen music opportunities. However, I do get that it is very practical for QAL as they continue to sell out the shows in London. I guess the venue type and the very reasonably priced ticket for the Extravaganza show lets those who cannot afford the arena shows, the chance to listen to Queen music live. Or venues closer to home towns or cities makes the Extravaganza show appealing. QAL: ( around the UK --Nov and Dec 2017) 2017- Leg 2 - London-- December, 12, 13, 152018- Summer- London -- July 1, 2, 4Queen Extravaganza: (all around the UK...Oct 30-Nov 30 2018) 2018- London -- November 22Marc Martel: 2018- NZ and Australia in August and Sept, 6 shows

There are numerous coverbands all over the world. It can't be too hard, to get the rights to play their songs. The question for me is, if it's a decent move to establish your own coverband, after being established as the "best Freddie-soundalike" by Queen themselves. I'm an attorney representing condominium and homeowner associations, many are for "55 and better". I review contracts for entertainment at the clubhouses by tribute bands. My standard cover contract includes an acknowledgment that the entertainer has the proper license. If the artist doesn't, the venue can get hit with a violation. You can't play Sirius or any other radio in a clubhouse or bar or whatever else is not a private home without a license. And those licenses are very particular for the type of venue. ASCAP is not so bad, but BMI is very specific.

The upcoming biopic , if successful, could generate even more interest and demand for Queen and their music, so it will be interesting to see the plans for 2019 -2020. in the meantime all these shows could help the movie popularity...

But because of Cassie I could hear the hesitation and rough transition from head to falsetto!
