My favorite song from The Original High album! Was so sad that he dropped it from the US tour dates. But I did get to see it live once in the pre-tour holiday radio show in Cleveland. @marisa_965: Anger. Sadness. Defiance. Vulnerability. In this poignant letter – to a long lost lover, to the audience, to the media, we’ll never know – @adamlambert leaves you breathless, then angered, then in awe, and finally in tears. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA8RBytYh-c DancyGeorgia I will never forget hearing Adam sing THERE I'VE SAID IT , here in San Diego, several years ago. There was a respectful stillness in the audience, followed by moments of quiet contemplation . Adam's voice soared throughout the concert hall,,his message loud and clear for all who dared to listen. This song is truly profound, a product of his young lifetime, wrought with rejection, misunderstanding, intertwined with a call for acceptance and "I've had enough!" I felt every note to the depths of my soul. I will never understand reading over and over again from so many who have said throughout the years that they are still waiting for Adam to write/sing a song of consequence--one that is meaningful and worthy of being called a "big hit." Yes, I get it from the business angle, radio plays, sales etc---but IMHO, Adam has already sung some of the most significant and important songs -with his incredible, unmatched, beautiful voice that I have ever heard sung. I could name a list but I'm not sure anyone cares to see it, and most of you will know so many of them anyhow---and realize how they have even changed our lives in the process. Just because his body of work hasn't received the recognition it deserves yet, doesn't mean it doesn't exist---right there waiting to be discovered by anyone who comes across his previous albums. I'm not waiting for his 4th album to be "out of this world, amazing" although I hope it's everything he wants it to be. He has already given us gems to treasure and I'm fully confident there are more to come. Just had these thoughts dancing in my mind for quite some time and needed to let them out. There, I've said it !

Somebody needs to do a mashup of Adam and Carrie Underwood clucking like chickens. She did it for her audition. What do these American Idol superstars have in common besides sold out arenas......

There, I've said it ! I agree 100%. But most of the world does not get to hear his incredible work. Even with interviews, while promoting his albums, Adam would stress dance music. That would cause many people to dismiss his work and not bother to see what else is on his albums. I would bet many of the Queen fans thought there would be nothing of interest to them. But those of us who follow him would know there is going to be so much deeper work included. I remember when Harry said on Idol, he could imagine Trent Harmon singing a song with Adam Lambert. He though Trent's vocal performance was worthy of such a collaboration. Some idiot commented (who knew better and knows Adam has so much more to offer) said, I can't imagine Trent trying to sing dance music, ha ha. So dismissive and trying to put Adam in a dance box. I am really glad Adam is going with real instruments and moving away from dance/pop. Change is good. There is no reason he can't do remixes of his work if he wants music in the clubs. That is common. His songs have not done very well on the dance charts anyway even when he calls it dance/pop. Kelly Clarkson has many number 1's on the dance charts so they love her tho she never calls her music dance/pop. Adam has had so many great songs that he co-wrote that were award nomination worthy and meaningful that no one but us have heard. I really hope A4 will change that and bring in some of those Queen fans for his solo work (who have fallen in love with him) as well as new fans. There I said It , Runnin, Chokehold, Shady, Sleepwalker are some of the best among many, imo.

Broken Open was a revelation for me. It is one of the few songs written by Adam on the FYE and I think it is an utterly beautiful and deep meaning song. The thing is that Adam (as any other person ) has many sides to him, and the “club kid” side was always winning as far as what he thought the public would want to hear. Now, at 36, he is probably too old for the club scene and I hope dance music is not the most important in his social life. I would think at his age he probably feels rather close to being out of place at the clubs , at least I hope so from my selfish musical perspective.
Everything he said so far about A4 points to a more mature approach to the musical content ...hope is in the air!

Adam's albums have been full of beautifully crafted, heartfelt songs that are smart and thoughtful and magnificently performed. None of his music sounds dumbed down to me. That's one of the things that drew me to him. Even his lighter sillier songs are witty and sly and smart. One of my favorite quotations about music and language is this one: "...rejoicing in the mischief of language." Adam is definitely full of verbal mischief. I wish so many of songs will still be heard by those beyond our fan base. So many gems!

Every artist has amazing “deep tracks.” On their albums. Listen to Katy Perry’s, P!NK, Kelly sometimes, the songs that were never singles are sooooooo good. It is what it is! Great, unheard tracks is not something exclusive to Adam!
