Have not posted in forever but I am listening to a PBS special that has an Idol moment. Katherine McPhee is singing a spectacular duet with Andrea Bocelli with David Foster as the host of the show bringing together quite the group - Josh Groban, Michael Buble etc. So wishing it was Adam that sang Feeling Good rather than Buble but oh well. Katherine looks gorgeous and sounds amazing. She is very underrated as an Idol success story with Prime Time TV shows Smash and the star of Scorpion since 2014. She has been in made for TV movies, released 5 albums and has a voice that is anything but cookie cutter - very rich and very lovely. This is one of the things that drives me nuts. I think Katherine McPhee is a wonderful singer. She is so beautiful and talented. And she is doing a variety of musical things with big names: Bocelli, Buble, Groban, etc. She deserves it and she's good at it. I'm nuts because these are exactly the kinds of things that Adam should be involved in, too. Doing shows on TV here and there with major vocalists. His voice is legendary in the music biz. I don't know why he isn't approached more for these kinds of things. He has a great personality and is great to work with. Would love to see him be able to diversify with his music, just like Katherine.

Every artist has amazing “deep tracks.” On their albums. Listen to Katy Perry’s, P!NK, Kelly sometimes, the songs that were never singles are sooooooo good. It is what it is! Great, unheard tracks is not something exclusive to Adam! so true! heck some of my favorite Linkin Park songs were never even released on an official studio album, only known to those that buy the annual exclusive fanclub albums (or do a lot of youtube searching lol) Casual listeners of any artist will never know what they are missing out on.

Great, unheard tracks is not something exclusive to Adam! True. But the major difference is they get to perform them on award shows. Get nominations. Adam is rarely seen on the big stage. I have heard all three of them sing really moving songs of tv (tho some not as great). As far as I know, no one calls them dance artists in such a dismissive way. Besides, the real EDM artists will get that recognition when it comes to awards and tv performances for dance music. Adam is such a major talent and I really don't think the public is looking to him for club music satisfaction. So for me, Adam has it all, on all of his albums, but most don't get a chance to purchase or hear it. Casual fans won't dig deeper and purchase the albums anyway. He will and does record what he wants but it would be nice if more knew there was something for everyone and so much more talent from him. The point of having produced such good music (he has) is for people to know it exists and to increase your fanbase.

Perform their deep tracks on award shows? Nope! Rarely or never. Award shows are for the hits!

Probably because they actually got to release some moving and heartfelt tracks that the radio played and became hits. Makes a big difference.
