I doubt Adam was upset watching the production. I mean he was live tweeting. So he clearly had no residual feelings towards it. Would of Adam been great? Of course. But more of what if. Look at Adams career everthing has happened for a reason. He went on idol, he meet Brian and Roger. He ended up touring with them. Making Queen the biggest theyv'e been since their heyday. He performed born to be wild. He then was featured in Rocky Horror Picture Show. My point is everything in his career has happened for a reason. Choose to look at it glass half full. Their was a reason he diddnt get JCS. And I am betting its big..

I've been watching JCS online. A very good production! Works much better than some of the other live musicals on TV that I have seen. Congrats to them all. Yes, I am still sour grapes about Adam not being involved. I think he would have blown everyone away in the role. Some wonder if he could have handled the acting, but I don't. He totally immerses himself in songs when he performs, and is completely believable. I think he would have been a compelling, brooding presence, and when he opened his mouth to sing, would have pulled all eyes and ears toward himself. Yes, Brandon was good. Adam would have been extraordinary. As to Legend, he just doesn't work in the role for me. He doesn't have the gravitas for it acting wise, or vocally. His falsetto is particularly jarring and, IMO, does not fit the intent of the lyrics or music. I actually stopped watching after about a half hour. For Legend fans, I am sure this was thrilling and wonderful. For me, not so much. I, too, believe Adam was originally slated to take on the role of Judas. What happened I can only guess. I still believe if Adam wanted to do it, and they wanted him to, the timing could have been worked out. I suspect, from the marginal way they promoted the Judas role, that Adam would not agree to be so marginalized. He may have wanted, if not equal billing, at least a featured spot. I mean, Alice Cooper was promoted more than Brandon, and Cooper had a minor role. I suspect, as I commented much earlier, that Legend did not want to be so thoroughly overshadowed, vocally, as he would have been with Adam chewing up the scenery and shaking the rafters with his voice. I am sad I did not get to see and hear Adam in the production. Ah, well. I still have more Queen + Adam Lambert. Thanks for your honest and insightful post. I didn't watch JCS, and that's probably one reason why I am not sour grapes. Adam's powerful new tweets helped too.

Thanks Cassie I agree with you Adam would have been too great for John ...It's always about the production and this one wouldn't have allowed Adam to be himself with his glorious voice...yup the scenery would have been chewed to bits.. Still I missed Adam so much.. Can you not get a role because you are just too good???Not to say that Brandon didn't do a great job ,he did.. but IMHO he doesn't have the incredible voice that Adam has.Adam also would have towered over John... not a good look for Jesus
