I am in no way saying that she isn't talented, although I'm not really in awe of her voice...it's not that spectacular.
But people act like there has never been a talent like hers, and like I said, all the "we don't deserve an angel like her" comments are making me gag.
She's good at putting on a production...and I don't think I've ever seen her perform without a production.

I haven't seen the Beyoncé production at Coachella. But the New York Times review speaks to the cultural impact of the performance and how it was not the usual festival performance staying close to the commercial expectations.

Applause to her for that. But for me tho, I prefer what Adam does with Queen and would love to see him incorporate more of that type of production and band (of course no one will match Queen) into his own tours. QAL have been known to wow the crowd without help from a bunch of dancers. Adam has such a great voice and stage presence that having a stage full of dancers would be a distraction from his enormous talent. He does not need to follow the crowd, as the Gaga's of the world will just try to have more dancers to out dance one another. They all start to look almost the same to me tho Beyoncé took it up a notch. I like it better when someone like Adam blows me away with their spectacular vocal performance and showmanship. He is moving to more real instruments and being more authentic so that is music to my ears. Everyone trying to do the same thing is a bore, imo.

I looked into Beyonce's Coachella set a bit...it`s her usual big production. As lurleene I think she is very talented but I just don't understand the hype about this performance. There was no special instrumental moment, of course the choreography was well rehearsed but it just wasn't...her vocals weren't up front production wise (and she's got them). I guess for all the buzz I just would have expected something more...original, creative, innovative...a real milestone of sorts artistically speaking...Hope I'm making sense... P.S.: Adam fell into some hyperboleing for Beyonce, so maybe we should cut the doc some slack when he praises someone that is not Adam. No intention to open that door, just throwing it out there.

No offense, but all this Beyonce adulation is making me barf. Count me in around the bucket... but I've been there a while. Just don't get it, I guess I'm not hip enough to appreciate her hoopla.

That particular NYT critic is usually NASTY ,so his love for this Beyonce spectacle, is not like him.As far as Beyonce ,I have never been a fan so no matter how many dancers, band people or how big the spectacle I'm still not a big fan.. I like that she is bringing in American black history and that she a feminist.. I also like that she goes her own way. As far as her voice,It's good but it still doesn't touch me. I guess I'm very much in the minority .Adam touches my soul... he makes me feel and he doesn't need anything ,but to stand on an empty stage and sing

I am NOT saying that this is bad or that the performers and singers are not talented. I'm just saying that it all looks pretty much the same. I think Beyoncé is a good singer. And she has the stage production down pat. She certainly has the money to do as big a production as she wants to. I hope Adam gets to do a solo tour. Each of his tours has been a little different. He has a few good dancers that suit his style and music. Maybe he'll want to add some more. Who knows. All I really care about is that his voice is front and center. And I do love to see him move around on the stage. His body is gorgeous and he knows how to use it. He really puts his personality into his shows.

Beyonce is amazing! IMO, if Adam was able to play arenas and stadiums he’d be doing the same thing!! Dancers, orchestra, huge set, the whole thing!! You know he’d want all the bells and whistles he could afford!
