The thing is, even if I can think of a current male Pop or Rock artist who can do justice to a Queen song, there is the stipulation that they would have to sing an unbelievable catalog for 2 hours, 4-5 times a week, for 4-6 weeks! Didn't Brian actually say that even Freddie couldn't do that?!

Maybe other singers could do justice to a Queen song (and some have, but more have failed miserably), but to do justice to the whole catalogue during a long tour.... I don't think there is anyone alive who could do that better than Adam. My husband asked me a while ago what Queen would do if Adam decided to stop. And I was so surprised at that question. I can't imagine them going on with someone else after him. I mean, they did before and if they'd have enough time they would probably find someone again, but at this stage in their career there is just no Queen live show without Adam.

I don't they will ever have another front man. And Adam has said, even very recently in a interview, that he will perform with them for as long as they want him to. It's one of those perfect matches that shouldn't be tampered with! And I totally agree that there are some male singers who COULD sing Queen songs. But to sing them in a tour situation, to have the stamina, to maintain the quality, is another matter altogether. That's another reason why Brian and Roger know they are lucky to have Adam. He has every quality they need. He can stand up the effort it takes.

I think my wink threw you off, because Brian did actually say that! Pretty sure he has also said, they are doing this because of Adam & wouldn’t be touring w/o him!

Didn't Brian actually say that even Freddie couldn't do that?! I can't think of any males either. But I also can't think of any females who would pull off two hours of Queen songs without trotting out the dancers and/or swinging from the ceiling to hold the interest for that long. Brian and Roger would have a fit. But many of the acts today need the backups. Not so for Adam and Queen. Adam does not need to rely on choreographed routines with dancers to shine and create interest. I really love the free flow of the Queen shows and it is not just about the singing. Tho that needs to be great. I had to laugh at Lionel Ritchie on Idol last night when he told a contestant that when he did a show don't bring out any dancers. It is a great compliment to acknowledge that someone does not need them. So for me, I can't think of any males of females that could easily step into Adam's shoes and put on the show that he does vocally or with the showmanship.

I think he said Freddie couldn’t do it like Adam does (ie as high or as consistent or as easy to work with). But then Adam can’t do it as Freddie did it. I took the wink as ‘I won’t go into the implied statement that Freddie couldn’t do the songs justice live’ since it is quite obvious that he more than could. They’re different, each with their strong sides, and we’re lucky to have both. Although I still mourn the fact that I am too young to have ever seen Freddie live.

Adam liked this IG from Sam yesterday: http://instagr.am/p/BirH4snAF5l I guess if Sam was out and proud like this from the start of his career his success might have been different. He hid who he was to the public. That's not the out and proud he got credit for in that article. I must admit I hadn't read the full piece when I posted it here. ETA: I just saw this picture has over 1 million likes and is his highest liked picture from all his recent posts. It's good that such a thing is appreciated now. A lot different from Adam loosing followers on IG when he posted some out and proud pictures at the start of 2017 though. I can't remember what out and proud pictures Adam posted in 2017, but I have to admit that the SS one above is pretty "eye catching" and fun. May be Adam just needs to get rid of drop his baggy pants
