Looks like lots of folks are collaborating these days. Demi and Xtina, etc. Forget Xtina who never apppeared interested, but I wouldn't mind an Adam collab with Ke$ha Adam and Ke$ha would make the "power duet" of the year, IMO. I wish his "people" could make it happen.

I am disappointed in the Idol finale lineup. The top 10 contestants are not really unique and the guests are not that interesting, imo. I know some claimed that Ada was like Adam but just no. Claiming another gay contestant is like him does not make it so. Adam has a vocal ability, style, looks, sexiness and showmanship that is not easy to match, for straight or gay contestants. There has never been as much buzz about any contestant on Idol or The Voice on Adam's level since him. Too bad he did not have a new song to release but would have loved to see him perform with Queen. It looks as if Carrie is the only former Idol they showcased this season. I don't think the new regime is all that interested in former Idols and that's fine. Easier to move on. I got really excited about Idol at the beginning, as I saw some unique talent. At this point however, I feel quite uninspired. My favorite contestants are gone and with Adam not attending the finale I sure don't have much of a reason to watch. Well, it's nice not to be on pins and needles wondering if he'll be on. Now I can just ignore the whole thing as usual. I think you're right that the new Idol PTB are not all that interested in former Idols anymore. Ok! Now I going to concentrate on the new stuff that is really about Adam.

He is an openly gay director. And he criticized the trailer(!) for showing Freddie twirling a woman, while he is only shown a very brief moment with a man. 🙄 plus Fox didn’t call his „life-threatening disease“ by its name... I can only say: 1. It’s just the trailer. 2. Freddie was not openly gay. Neither did he say, that he had aids until one day before he died. Why should it be that obvious from the beginning of the film? Freddie himself discovered/explored his sexuality only later in his life...

I just voted a few times in a row, which didn't work a few days ago. Anyways, I click on the link and then on "read more" in order to see the whole poll. Then I click on the circle next to Q&A and that should be it, as afterwards it shows me the current standings. Voted the other day but now there is no circle next to Q&A. So there is no way to vote for them that I can see. The circle went away. :( I voted just now and it worked, but a few days ago it froze on me. Here is the link again for those interested. www.grammy.com/grammys/news/blink-182-mariah-carey-queen-adam-lambert-las-vegas-residency-road-trip-poll

We'll watch (DVR'd), probably, and I guess I'm rooting for Maddie Poppe, but I agree the most interesting contestants are gone (Michael!). I still like Idol more than The Voice, which we record every week and then delete without watching, haha. But yeah, I'm NOT a country fan and that seems to be the Idol/Voice voting demographic.

And this is exactly how chances of Oscar considerations are killed. Creating a controversy where there is none (that we know of) because we haven't even seen the movie. Freddie was a whole, complex and interesting person. Many people will be interested in his story and not just his sexuality tho important. Sasha was bounced because he only wanted to concentrate on one aspect of Freddie's life. I guess I am having flashbacks to when Adam had everyone coming at him about how gay he should present himself. It was his career and life but others wanted to control the narrative their way. If you want to do that, then get yourself out on that stage, sing and present yourself any way you want. Or put up the time and money to make another movie of your choice the way you want to make it. I'm sure they want to bring in a wide audience. To claim they are hiding Freddie's sexuality before you have even seen the movie seems self serving. But Brian made it very clear that Freddie was his friend and he was not going to exploit him. I am looking forward to the movie and Freddie's story.
