About Adam's "errors." The man has his strengths and his weaknesses. We know, for example, that he has a very nebulous sense of time. His fans can tell you much more accurately when something happened in Adam's life than he can. And "punctual" is an adjective which will never be used to describe Adam.
On the other hand, he remembers faces and details about people he meets, even recognizing individual fans and noticing when they have changed their appearances. He also has an encyclopedic musical memory for songs, bands, singers, shows, etc.
When he talked about WWTLF, we fans know that Brian wrote it after seeing a draft of Highlander (or so Brian says, who is also not known for accuracy in many of his memories). So, did Adam confuse that back story with one from another song? Or, could it be that Brian's father was facing a health challenge when the song was written, and in retrospect, Brian had told Adam it was about his father's pending passing?
Should Adam, as Queen frontman, have committed to memory Queen's entire background history? Should he be their historical frontman? Brian and Roger are probably perfectionists when it comes to their craft, their music. Adam holds that to be sacred. Other stuff, I doubt matters to them much. (And even their retelling of stories change over time.)
As far as Freddie being married, as was said, Freddie often called Mary his wife. Maybe Brian and Roger refer to her the same way. Or maybe it is just Adam's way of referring to the long time relationship. Or, I think the quote I saw was from an interview written in a different language and could have been a translation error.
I think Adam does a superb job of representing Queen + Adam Lambert, and the guys obviously trust him with it.
