United Flight #123 leaves London Heathrow at 7:30 am Sunday morning and arrives Washington Dullus at 11:15 am Sunday morning. That would put Afam there in plenty of time for 6:00 PM performance and a rehearsal before hand. But the Cher tribute is today, December 1st. That’s what I meant. Could still be possible they do a Cher song on Sunday.

The Cher tribute is today but they do a smaller presentation on Sunday night. I (and many other people) just assumed that Adam would be part of the Cher tribute.
Perhaps Adam is part of the main program on Sunday night. He could make that event easily - flight time is about 8 hours and he gains 5 hours flying west. So net 3 hours from London.

No reason for Toby Knapp to troll Adam fans. Many Adam fans follow him and (although he was team Kris Allen during Idol), he supported Adam singles, interviewed him multiple times, etc. I edited my post, but obviously not fast enough...

Toby's tweet said "this weekend."
Shosh promised a second performance this year and said there would be one in the U.S.
In the past, the main show, had many performers between the presenters.
> I updated page one, but there is no info about who is performing at this event. Just the honorees and the host.

Do we believe this Knapp guy? Didn't he use to be a douchebag? I dimly remember. Yes, I remember he dissed Adam a lot. Don't remember much of the details. Wasn't he a huge Kris Allen fan?Yes, you are correct. He was a huge Kris Allen fan. And some of his comments about Adam were homophobic. Once when he was interviewing Kris on his radio show, he told Kris not to let Adam kiss him. How stupid. There was no reason to bring up Adam. But Allen's answer was equally as stupid and very disappointing. He said something like, I can't stop him. HaHa. Playing along at Adam's expense. WTF! Two hysterical grown ass men on a broadcast radio show acting as if Adam was some kind of threat to them. Is there any wonder that Adam did not have an easy time with radio. My own local radio station would play all the Idols except Adam but they would take the time to ridicule him over his sexuality. It was so hurtful to listen to. But they finally started to play WWFM after it was high on the charts and just before it started to decline. At least the young gay artists today are not likely to have the radio stations openly making fun of their sexuality, as some did early in Adam's career. Of course, Toby Knapp changed his attitude once it was clear that it was Adam who emerged the star and not Kris. His interviews with Adam to his face were respectful. Ugh!

So, let‘s wait and see. Any Adam performance will be dearly appreciated! 😁

I searched for a Kennedy Center Honors youtube, and the first one that came up is this Tom Hanks one, and I noticed that the two musical performances after Pentatonix don't have mics. Pre recorded? www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnrF7cGK1Ps

Adam will not be doing the Cher thing tonight - www.kennedy-center.org/Video/Performance/67656 - the tributes appear to be free concerts - streamed live - but nothing that gets televised. If he's there he'll be there for the real deal on Sunday which should be easy peasy to tape Strictly today and get back by tomorrow evening. Next Performance Honors Week Tribute: Cher and Reba McEntire 12/1/2018 at 6:00 PM The nation’s #1 Cher impersonator and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season one winner, Chad Michaels will perform hits of the iconic and legendary Cher! Since 2010, The Capital Hearings have crafted a unique and compelling blend of cross-genre a cappella in Washington, D.C. Bringing together singers from a wide variety of musical backgrounds in tribute to Reba McEntire, they are dedicated to exceptional performances of jazz standards, Top 40 hits, and classical choral works. Today is „World AIDS day“ and Queen tweeted this cover of Under Pressure by Shawn Mendes feat. Teddy. They did an EP of three covers by three different artists and the money it makes goes to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. All I can say: I don’t like this cover at all. It lacks almost everything, that makes it one of my favorites at every QAL show. And I wish Adam had been able to record at least one cover... youtu.be/pd3YxPkWxBc

I don't know how they honor a composer but Phillip Glass is honored on Sunday. Any possibilities here? 2018 Kennedy Center Honors: Hamilton, Cher, Reba McEntire, Phillip Glass, Wayne Shorter Glass is one of the most popular and prolific composers alive. His output is veritably Bach-like in its range and quantity. To some people, Glass is “Koyaanisqatsi,” the pulsing, mind-bending film in which Glass’s music and Godfrey Reggio’s images play equal parts. To some, he’s “Einstein on the Beach,” the breakout avant-garde opera he created with director Robert Wilson in 1976. Some would name the symphonies he wrote based on the albums David Bowie recorded in Berlin in the late 1970s, “Heroes” and “Low.” (He’s currently working on a symphony — his 12th — based on Bowie’s third Berlin album, “Lodger.”)www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/2018-kennedy-center-honors-hamilton-cher-reba-mcentire-phillip-glass-wayne-shorter/2018/11/30/a7d8ecee-f4b5-11e8-bc79-68604ed88993_story.html?utm_term=.187b83b9ae10
