Okay if everyone is throwing out a wish list then I guess it is safe for me to give mine, lol. Would love to see Adam get more acting opportunities. I would be fine with a Broadway gig but it is not something I'm craving to see. Maybe a month or two month long residency for his solo work would be nice. Also would like to see him get more judging/mentoring gigs on a more permanent basis. Those shows only film a few months so it would not keep him from recording new music or touring. Love his interviews more when they are about his music and career. Only care about his personal life for as much as he wants to share. Otherwise, I'm just happy that he is happy and in love. And I'm still waiting for one of his beautiful and emotional ballads to be given a chance to connect with more than his fans. I want to see him on tv getting that wow feedback for his vocal abilities and delivery of his work, as he did with "Believe." But he has a great career, solo and with QAL, and it has been going strong for years. And I expect to see him rocking on for many more. OT: I guess everyone has heard that Levine quit The Voice and has been replaced by Gwen Stefani. Yes to everything you listed, lurleene! His talents need to be tapped far more than they are now. Hope Playmobil opens another door or two. The director seems to think he's great. Adam's been really good at just about everything he's done since AI. He is liked and respected by people in the business. That's a very important factor, IMO. I heard that Levine quit The Voice and will now be on that show about songwriters. Can't remember what it's called. There was some sort of kerfluffle with The Voice. Don't recall the details. I don't watch The Voice but my sister does, and she has always liked Levine a lot. Thinks he's a nice guy and all. Levine was announced as one of the producers of that show long before they ever went live. Leaving TV was a last minute and recent thing.

OT: I guess everyone has heard that Levine quit The Voice and has been replaced by Gwen Stefani. This article and others were in the press a few days ago...quit or released? Released would save face for everyone....but the impetus may have started with Adam not being a team player as per the article below ...note the paragraph: "Paul Telegdy was said to be particularly incensed. The co-chairman of NBC Entertainment witnessed Levine’s performance firsthand and, per multiple sources, was not happy with what he saw. One insider says the exec was “embarrassed” and “furious” that Levine exhibited such indifference in front of the very people (read: advertisers) who pay his $26-million annual salary." www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/adam-levines-voice-exit-sparked-by-rule-changes-cinched-by-performance-that-left-nbc-brass-furious/ar-AABROJC

The new format on the Voice disadvantaged Adam (and all the other judges other than Blake) and he was left with no one in the finals He he wa very disgruntled and everyone knew it. It was a dumb change because Blake is the king of WGWG and it got set up that eventually everyone goes up 1 to 1 against another judge's team member on the live show and the audience votes. So with the huge bias for country, Blake had an obscene number of his team in the late stages of the show - 3 out of the 4 finalists were WGWG. The 4th was a fine female singer and happily the vote was split and she won. Didn't love seeing John Legend win his first time out but at least Blake didn't win.
I posted on this last week and recalled an interview with our Adam in a TOH radio promo where the radio guy let it slip how different he was from Levine. Was just short of calling Levine an SOB and was half-joking about how he hoped he wasn't going to lose his job by comparing the two.

Hadn't heard about Levine leaving the Voice; wasn't his and Blake's "rivalry" a big part of the show? I only watched the first season, seemed like those two really played off of each other. He is the Executive Producer of this new songwriting show with John Legend and others on NBC. Some conjectured that his leaving so quickly after receiving $13 million for one set of the Voice per year ($26 mill a year) that he didn't want to appear on a show on Mother's Day when he didn't have any people competing. Others think it was to garner more attention for him and this new show. I think I type too slowly. Everyone answered already.

Thanks for the answers, guys...not particularly a fan of Levine and I can't imagine leaving a job that pays me $26 million. I guess $25 million for Katy Perry for Idol isn't that high after all.
Lordy, what I could do with that much $$$$$$ lol...so many Adam concerts I could afford to travel to !!!

I have never watched The Voice, but I think if my son was a judge on the show and was paid millions for it, I would tell him to go to work and we would celebrate Mother's Day some other time. Or maybe it was Levine's wife who was the Mother's Day honoree in question. Either way, it sounds like he just didn't want to be on The Voice anymore. period.

Adam seems to like the obscure and turn left at expected for arcane when it comes to some of his music... so here's a place you can dig around and find your own rediscovered treasures (if you're game)... revivethis.org/

I think it was more about his wife and kids. Besides, Levine grew up in a family with money so money was probably never that much of an issue for him. And he has made a lot of money on his own.

Somewhat OT: another Queen song placement - UP in the Amazon Prime’s Good Omens (sorry if everyone knows already...) youtu.be/hUJoR4vlIIsQueen songs run throughout the show, but mainly because in the book, there is a running gag about any cassette left in the car's stereo for a few weeks would turn into a Queen's "Greatest Hits" recording... You can read a bit more about the Queen connection with the video production here: www.yahoo.com/entertainment/good-omens-able-rights-queen-200022812.html

Lol, that looks funny! Hubby has AZ Prime, I'll have to look it up. I haven't really been in the mood to watch any shows in a few years now, but that one could be good. You'd think between Amazon Prime and Netflix I would find something...but apparently I'm too picky lol. On Netflix watch Dead to Me with Christina Applegate - just 10 episodes but great. Then every season of Grace & Frankie & everything of Schitt's Creek I've got a few others that have been road tested by my DH and I that we watch together.
