I am curious dominica and masia, why would you open accounts here just to complain about today's thread. Over the past ten years, we have had a wide range of discussions from sad to ecstatic to just plain dull. It is always a good idea to establish common ground purpose before introducing controversy, unless controversy is the point. I am too old and don't take well to being reprimanded, but carry on Oh I am..Sorry but we cant state was on today's board? imo Maybe he should just resign.. For what, because he doesnt live on social media?? Dude has a life. He doesnt need to be on the media. he gets enough hate. Maybe he should just delete his acct. I am merely pointing out that the one time things arent going 100% because of illness and business and that he was sick...mind you he has a performance next week annnd may want his own life. He states that at his interview with SWAY. Actually I am defending him. And stating that you lot should cool your jets. Stop being entitled. Also stop staking Javi on social media. Its his BF. but that isnt part of the career. Enjoy what is meant to be enjoyed. You are taking him for granted. Oh and because you so.lovely asked....I kindly delete my acct again. See this fandom go smaller. Since that's what you are suggesting.

Wonder what Javi is up to in Texas?? Inquiring minds want, but don't need, to know lol. I think he has a collection of photos from hotels on the tour and he’s posting them slowly.

If I cared about what an artist I followed did on social media, I'd have left Adam in the dust a long time ago. Adam has many strengths and talents, but a gift for social media engagement is not one of them and never has been. An upside of social media is it gives an artist a direct line to see what people have to say to or about him or her. A downside of social media is...it gives an artist a direct line to see what people have to say to or about him or her. Even as a thoroughly ordinary person, I have no interest in wading into the fray on social media; I can't imagine doing it as a public figure. The times Adam has been most interesting on social media - the times he's made the biggest impact - are often the times he's had his ass handed to him, like with his comments on the Les Miz movie. I think he soured on Twitter a long time ago, if he was ever truly enthused about it to begin with, and I can't say I've been very interested in most of what he has posted on Instagram. I care about his social media habits only to the extent that I know social media activity is now pretty much expected of celebrities, and especially now that he's indie, he needs to utilize every tool at his disposal as fully as he can. However, for whatever reason, he has never had a team around him that seems to care about that sort of thing. I don't understand it, but I can just add that to the rather lengthy list of things I don't understand about how his career has been conducted over the years. But for myself? I really can't say I care if he's silent on social media. I care about his work - his music, his performances, his interviews, his professional appearances. The other stuff? Not important to me. Not saying anyone is wrong if they feel differently; I'm speaking only for myself.
Social media aside, Adam has repeatedly stated in interviews, often unprompted, how much he appreciates his fans. How he wouldn't be doing what he's doing without them. How he loves their passion, their loyalty and their dedication. Why that doesn't mean as much as a post on Twitter or IG saying the same thing is, frankly, beyond me. Hey, I've been concerned about the cancellation of his promo appearances, particularly Corden and The Talk. I understand why people would like to see something from him, although I'm not sure exactly what that should be. I can only assume he has his reasons for his silence, and I don't think they include not caring about the fans. I guess maybe he doesn't care in the "right" way, based on what some fans require of him. Maybe he doesn't see the fandom "relationship" in the way that would be most beneficial to him. But I hate to see that become more of a focal point than the incredible piece of work he just released to us. "Velvet: Side A" is everything I didn't know I needed from Adam, and I treasure it. For me, for now, it's enough.

To me, the best demonstration of Adam’s respect and appreciation for his audience/fans is the quality of the “product” he delivers - his songs, performances, appearances, interviews, etc. To me, “social media” is not what he does. Folks looking for that, whether they are old or “youngsters” (?) - well, yeah, I can see that they might want to look elsewhere. For me, I am loving these songs, and VERY much hoping he is very well and very happy and that if he is not, that he will be soon. I neither need nor expect explanations for cancellations. I love him - it’s unconditional.

And, while Adam has not been as active on Twitter & Instagram, he has given some of his very best, and most personal, interviews this era, especially in the last 2 months!!! To me, these interviews tell me much more about the person Adam is than anything he posts on SM!!!
