I agree with you SophieB , especially with the two higlighted paragraphs. And I agree with you both. The concerns I have are for him maintaining his current fanbase and hopefully growing it and long term success in the music/entertainment business. He wants success and longevity in the business and that's what I want too. I think we all want the same things for him....a happy, healthy private life (up to him) and a successful career (we can help). After Jablea mentioned the Meyers Briggs test on the previous page, it made me think about us all interacting here on the board and the various personalities represented. I generally see all the back and forths and disagreements and different points of view as interesting altho sometimes tedious where some see it as confrontational and hurtful. I'm a ISTJ (extroverted thinker), as I'm sure a few others may be, but I see lots of ISFJs here or other "feeling" types as well as a few intuitives, etc. I find us all interesting. :LOL Nice coincidence. I took the Meyers Briggs test last week and got INFJ type.

I took the Meyers Briggs test last week and got INFJ type. I'm an E/INTP . I remember taking tests years ago and ending up as Expressive Driver or something - hmmm that was in the 80s. Then last year my work did our TrueColors, which I found out yesterday is the middle two letters of the full type. Anyway none of it made a lot of sense until I got an old book at the thrift store that had you figure it out based on careers and how you approach tasks etc. That approach actually made sense to me because then it wasn't about liking people or talking feelings - all those things my type hates doing, lol.

Nobody wants more naked pictures from Javi definitely not me. I couldn’t care about him less. In 6 month all of you will be wondering why Adam didn’t release velvet side b and why he didn’t have solo tour. Big surprise And if you are right, and it makes you happy to be right, so be it. However it should be okay with you if his fans still support him and wish him the best. Right? That is sorta what fans do even if everything is not going according to their wishes and demands. Some things are out of our control. Besides, he still has those millions and we are happy about that.

Just letting peeps know I reported a few posts that have spilled over into the 20th's Positive thread. If the mods agree with me you'll know who to blame when they disappear. Now, back to Adam's business model. I agree there are so many things he could do but doesn't. Don't know why. The media posts don't effect me much one way or the other, other than my marketing degree just wants to grrrrr. What I can't understand is why the merchandise - tshirts etc - sucks, lol. But then he doesn't seem to have a problem with peeps creating their own or sometimes even selling his likeness so maybe it's a benefit. I do have my peace necklace from years and years ago, but even that wasn't "his". I need a new cord for it. Wore it constantly for a couple of hard years.

What may be stressful or negative to some is a clear observation or concern to others that needs to be shared. I believe that all opinions here come from a good place, and I think that anybody who makes it on this site is likely somewhat invested or interested in Adam and his career. I had a hard time yesterday grasping how people can feel so distraught over a discussion that was inspired by the obvious "elephant in the fandom". Many had hinted at Adam's noticeable "silence" prior to yesterday, quietly not to upset the fandom, but once someone spoke up and started talking about it people freaked out. To my knowledge, nobody really set out to attack Adam and I haven't even seen much on twitter to be honest, but if people were hinting at his silence I would not blame them. This is how I feel... I have been a devoted fan and I have spent a good deal of $$ on downloads, albums (that I haven't received yet) and fan merchandise on top of it, and I stream and view and try to keep his name in the game on the daily, because I like to support him. I believe in him as an artist and I want him to get the attention he deserves, and there is no doubt in my mind that he wants it too. But a few things coming from him (or not) make me wonder and get me frustrated at times. SophieB and others have made excellent points for me.

Personally, I have gotten what I paid for - superior performances and music and visual delights. A man who works hard to bring us his best, does not owe us anything else. He does not need to cater to fans who feel entitled to more. And anyway, he gives us a lot, and even gave us that heartbreaking letter when he released Feel Something. I don’t want something from him that is forced and phony, because he has a duty to placate certain fans. Being himself is the whole meaning behind Superpower, and I like that he struggles a bit on social media, and doesn’t want to reveal all.

It baffels me how unwilling and/or unable some are to recognize the differnce between asking Adam to overshare and spill every salacious detail of his underpants or if you are simply asking for some kind of heads up when an artist disappears mid-promo which he and the fans are super excited about. I really don't understand the need to paint other fans as irrational and belittle them for legitimate worries and a reasonable expectation.
Last thing from me on this, im OUT.

I’m assuming you’re aiming this at me, so I’ll respond. I was addressing the idea that because one has spent a lot of money on Adam, they think it’s only fair to get an explanation from him. It has nothing to do with the difference between salacious info and wanting a heads up. I feel Adam does not have to give us a heads up. He gives us enough thru his music and performances. He very obviously did not want to give us “a head’s up”. Maybe he will in his interviews. Only he knows the reason why.

I won't circle back at this as I assume you have read the thread, unless you forgot what was said. I think it was made pretty clear that the issue is not about $$ "invested" or feeling entitled.
