I guess we just should all stop caring as Adam clearly doesn't care. Or he's at least not showing it to me. Feel welcome to stay in your bubble where everything is alright and everything is set in stone. I'm out for a while. Skaschep, I really hope you change your mind and stay around. You’ve done a lot for Adam and for the fandom and I personally really appreciate it. I am sure Adam does too even if he’s been silent for a while. It’s not like him so maybe there is a reason. I always look forward to your stats everyday to see how Adam is doing numbers wise. We all care about him and I do believe he cares about us as well. We all do not think alike or act alike but i’m sure everything all comes from a place of ❤️. 🤗 to you.

I have been pretty much an eternal lurker on this forum but today I just needed to comment. I also find it disappointing that Adam has not put out anything on social media to assure us that all is well. We know that Velvet Side A came out too late to qualify for Grammy's and then his record company totally screwed up with the distribution of physical copies. He got sick at the most inopportune time. Considering that he is having to foot the bill for everything; I am sure this was very upsetting to him and maybe he just needed to rethink the way forward and didn't want to broadcast to the world that there is a problem. A few things that I have speculated about his silence are as follows: 1. He was not the only one in his band who got sick and couldn't perform on Cordon, etc. 2. He had to get his taxes done and was depressed when he saw how much he had to send to HeWhoCannot amed! I prepare taxes so this was definitely on my mind before October 15th when returns on extension were due. 3. He has been keeping busy concentrating on his diet and getting into tip top shape now that he recovered from being sick. 4. He decided to put down his phone so that the Overglow doesn't overshadow taking care of himself, family and his relationship with Javi. I don't really know what is going on with him but these are a few possibilities that I haven't seen anyone mention. As far as the twitter discussion between sandyrk & PattiHum, those two fans probably have had more personal interaction with Adam than 98% of his fans so their concerns are valid. The one mentioning his psychological condition is a professional psychologist so I am sure that is a strong influence in her trying to figure out what might be going on with Adam. Based on my ideas above, I am sure there are many factors that are playing a roll in causing his silence. For us fans waiting for tidbits of information to satisfy our curiosity, we just need patience and he will be back with us very soon. I'm going out to dinner and a show at a local live musical comedy theater tonight with my cousins and friends...I'm sure Adam would approve!

skaschep . I agree with you completely. And please don’t think for an instant, of leaving us. You are a hugely important part of this community...and I, for one, don’t say thank you enough. Hope to see you back here tomorrow.

I think Adam cares a great deal about his fans. I think his Great Disappearance had a good reason behind it, whether he wants to tell us what it was or not. He has a reputation for being reliable when it comes to showing up for things. I know we're all curious as hell. Maybe he'll tell us or maybe he won't. Either way, I'm still a fan and don't intend to go anywhere. This is just a small blip in the ten+ years we've been following him. We tend to go into withdrawal mode pretty fast. That being said, I do think it would help if he just tweeted a brief personal message to all of us, assuring us that he's ok and back on track. I know I would feel better if he did that. Stream and view.

Thanks for delurking and posting and adding to "fandom sentiments". I believe it could be a combination of all the things you mentioned. Btw. I know that lady personally who mentioned a psychological condition in her tweet - she is a wonderful and vibrant fan and I too was aware that she is a psychologist. We all have phases in our lives where we feel out of balance and "off" and that could just as well apply to Adam. There should be no shame or shaming about it, I think, but I was hesitant to go there. Good to have you here, keep posting!

Not sure why Javi is brought into anything. He was just on tour with Adam and at the Grand Citizen event and they live together. I mean when Adam went with Javi to his home turf in Spain, Terrance followed. If their time together was not sufficient for the two of them, I doubt Terrance would have been included in such a short vacation. And if Adam needed time to tweet, he could do it while Javi was posting pictures of himself during that time. I think we just don't know. And maybe we don't need to know. But I still don't think it is a good idea to tweet speculation about his mental health just because you are a fan. Adam is getting ready to do some promotion in person. I hope it goes well so fans (me included) can just relax and support whatever his next step may be. And I agree with the person who said Adam gives a lot of interviews and content, even if he does not use social media as much as some may like. But I have no doubt that he loves his fans and we love and support him thru good and bad times.

I don’t really get all the drama. IMO Adam has barely posted anything private for many months already. It’s not new. It’s almost all „business related“ posts on his social media the whole year already. We only realize it now, because Adam was all over our media with new interviews and suddenly stopped. Almost all private glimpses we got through Javi. Without him, we would often not even know, where Adam is.
And about the business decisions: I‘m starting to think, that Adam might have decided to cancel those TV appearances in order to push either another single later (Closer to you (?), because Superpower doesn’t seem to connect that much?) OR „Velvet - Side B“ OR the whole album.
Shosh has explained before, that she can only book him once for a TV show during one album circle. That’s why the performances and appearances have to be planned well. With Adam’s unconventional release, this should even be more complicated. Since he hasn’t been on The Late Late Show yet, he can go there for one of the next singles or Side B. This wouldn’t be possible, had he been on the show now. So MAYBE Adam simply decided, that Superpower is not his best shot...

It's been really interesting following the different sentiments in reaction to his "absence". And the subject is a bit of a beaten horse at this point, but here's my 2 cents (probably not even worth that much).
I've been a fan of Adam since Idol but that doesn't mean he owes me a damn thing. I buy his music and enjoy listening to him sing anything. If he's performing near me I go to a show. I have him as one of my IG followers and on Twitter and like and share stuff if it makes sense. If he stopped performing and sharing his voice I'd be sad for the waste of talent, but there's a world of music out there, so other things would step in.
I think some of what's going on is the truly toxic side of social media - this sense of entitlement to information about other people's lives. I'm happy for whatever someone I follow wants to share, but don't expect it, and am under no illusion what I'm seeing is in any way representative of their true life (not matter what is presented). I enjoy what I get, don't miss what I don't and have plenty of my own shit to deal with in between.
Off to stream Velvet Side A again.

Good God, all we are doing today is reinforcing the negative and by the end of it all Adam's having a break down.
