Another page full of politics... I know, it’s THE topic in the US right now. But for me, living on the other side of the world, it’s not. I started to avoid this forum. I don’t know, if others feel like me, but if so, maybe it’s possible to discuss politics in a different section of the forum? Sorry, to interrupt... I hear you. It is difficult to define the limits of appropriate posting on this forum when Adam is now actively expressing his opinions about the presidential campaigns.
You make a good point that this forum is not limited to folks from the USA. I am going to refer this to Q3 for her suggestions. In the meantime, I ask that members refrain from making overt comments about the presidential candidates and HeWhoCannot amed's policies. A temporary moratorium until we get clear guidance from Q3.

Adam has been very vocal in trying to encourage his fans and people in general to vote. He is from the US and it is very important to him and to us. It is about survival and sanity actually. So I enjoy a little concern from others about the state of affairs with comfort and support. Far more relevant than pictures and "likes" of ex-boyfriends, lol. Seriously tho, Adam knows there is a lot riding on this election. So do many of us in the US. He even sang at a fundraiser for Biden. Took a lot of sh** for not supporting and voicing his displeasure of T and fans who support him. The fires in CA and BLM and the pandemic are all connected to how we and our leadership respond as a country. Is this really the time to shut up and sing or only caring about singing? Just my two cents. HA.
Love that QAL have the CD/DVD coming out. YAY!!!

Cassie, Q3 briefly touched on the subject of politics on the board in her post of August 15.
It's definitely a hard time in the US for many of us.

I don’t ask you to stop discussing politics. I only ask to consider doing it in another section of this forum. It’s big enough, most of it is unused.
From my point of view, „Adam talking politics“ could be a part of that section as well. Post the news, when he’s posting or talking about politics, here and discuss it in the other section. This way we wouldn’t have to wonder, when it’s ok to talk politics and when not.

Politics, hmmm.
Politics is not an irrelevant topic in life, many of the freedoms we hold are only safe when combined with a healthy, functional government and politics is how that government is chosen.
Right now I can have a hard time maintaining a vital interest in Adam even though I completely agree with him on most issues. I also find it difficult to focus on many things I love like reading and movies because I feel that this election holds an existential threat to much that I hold dear. This election will change the US for better or worse. I look forward to deciding how I will need to structure my future.
Also, any time politics comes up, the usual suspects come out to whine and since I can't change anyone's mind and my tendency would be to be rude, it's best then to just read the first post with Adam news. I have no time or emotional energy for sarcasm and bullshit. I prefer kind humor and laughter; hopefully these will be in fuller supply in the future and we can all come out to play.

US politics are important to Adam and to those of us in the US at a very difficult time. This is his home country so he cares about what happens. I would think it is important for other countries as well. It is not the norm but these are not normal times. I doubt that most posting want to see Adam's views and concerns sidelined as if they are unimportant, even when some don't agree with him. I'm so proud of him for speaking up and being loud about it. Even his ability to perform live are connected to us getting this virus under control in the US. We need good leadership for that and that is political. The same with climate change. And equality. And bigotry. I doubt Adam only wants to perform overseas, if he is even allowed to do that. It is all connected, like it or not. Pretending otherwise is not helpful or an option.

I adore Adam, but I must admit that between the politics and our current fight to stay safe from all the fires burning, my interest in voting in polls, or to even listen to his music incessantly is not my first priority. Right now we are hoping and praying and crossing fingers and toes that our family doesn't lose their homes. All of our immediate family is in this area, and has had to evacuate. My day is spent texting and calling to make sure everybody is safe.
So, so looking forward when I can enjoy just listening to music and watching videos again.
