Wow, that was fantastic...loved the song, but also the guy doing his thing in the back...he was really, really good. ETA: Simon's comment to Adam was so sweet. I thought it was amazing!

That Blick interview was great, but I have to disagree with Adam about this: Performing may be the only thing he wanted to do with his life, for which we should all be grateful, but it absolutely isn't the case that he's "good at nothing but performing." With his intelligence (both intellectual and emotional), personality and natural charisma, he could have done any number of things, had he been interested in doing so. As he's shown as a reality show mentor and judge, he'd have been an awesome teacher or corporate trainer (he was offered a $50k per year corporate trainer role by the makeup company he worked for - can't remember which one it was - which was a lot of money for an early-20s person back then, or even today). Or a great salesman (again, as proven by his stint doing and selling makeup), or Director of Development for a charity. If he'd had an interest in law, he would have been a great trial attorney. Maybe a designer, whether fashion or interior. Or an event planner. The list is endless. He's one of those people who would have found success no matter what career he chose, I genuinely believe that. He has that special spark. Looks like he's having a wonderful birthday, which he richly deserves! I can't say I love The View, but I'm delighted to see some U.S. promo starting to crop up. I can't help but suspect he mentioned wanting to duet with Kelly Clarkson because he knew he was booked for that show as well, and that they were going to do a song. I hope that comes to pass - it's way past time for the two of them to sing together, and I think they'd get a great press cycle out of it if it happened. You left out painter. The drawings I’ve seen are beautiful. also Rihanna, Chris Stapleton and Babyface are doing this years Super Bowl.

OMG ---THE DIRECTOR IS CERTAINLY A MAN OF FEW WORDS... "Can I get some people up here to answer some questions, please" Then... "Thank you for clapping and staying for the whole picture". Maybe he said something before that... What happens next for a film that is positively received and positively reviewed after this showing at the Sundance Festival? Do most go to things like Netflix, or made for tv movies, or picked up for larger production? No real clue as to what the future hopes are for the films being shown. Do not know the system? Have to hope the film garners great respect ...cross fingers for media-- showcasing the film as a "one of the best/good one" at the festival! Sundance is a platform for independent movies to be seen by different buyers for distribution. Coda, last year’s Oscar winner started at Sundance then was picked up by Apple TV for distribution. It also starred Emilia Jones who is in Fairyland. Having Sofia Coppola as producer is a big plus.

My first thought.”boldness has genius power and magic in it.” Goethe. To me that is Adam. He is incredible.

Everyone should listen to this interview. It is so insightful and honest. Mental anxiety and stress is a huge problem that we need to talk about. I’m thinking of tWitch. Still hurts.

I agree with everything you said lureene. Ellen brought a lot of joy and laughter to many people for many years before she had to end her show. Why are our memories so short? She supported many performers over the years by bringing them on her show. As far as trying to make a star of someone, there are just so many different factors involved including some good luck. I am thrilled she was so supportive of Adam. It helped him a lot. And 10 years after Idol Adam imo, is gaining longevity. Because of his hard work, his incredible technique and that VOICE! The fact that he is such a supportive and kind person doesn’t hurt either. I am so excited about his new album even though they are covers. He will transform those songs! And I’m hoping that maybe this will give him his second Grammy nod.

Wow, just read about Twitch committing suicide. 40, leaving a wife and 3 babies. So incredibly sad. And that Just before Christmas, tragic doesnt even beginn to describe...absolutely horrendous We will never know the pain people experience to cause them to do something so final. My heart breaks for his family. RIP dear tWitch.

Isnt Sara Bareilles in this!? Would bei super excited for a Picture of the two of Them. I answered this on yesterday’s thread. Sara Bareilles opened the show for a limited time then replaced by Stephanie Block.
