I appreciate these comments, they make me feel better. I've been kind of bummed out at the reaction to Adam's look on AI even though it's been positive and I understand why the look was appropriate for that situation. I don't want Adam to feel like he has to look like a boy scout to succeed. I fear the overwhelmingly positive comments may push him in that direction, but I hope mys*&@^#r is right and I shouldn't worry since he likes to change things so much. I think what got to me was that even many people who have loved Adam all along have expressed how much they love the "clean" look. So surprised because I love his other looks so much more. The one thing I think we can count on with Adam is that he is so joyously himself. And maybe one other thing to count on- he's easily bored. So what we've seen lately is the part of him that he's really into right now. One look at his face, and the happiness that just comes rolling off of him in waves, and I would be hard pressed to believe that he is doing anything at the moment because he thinks he has to. He spent a year immersed in the glam 24/7, he's bored with that at the moment, and one of these days he'll wake up in the mood for something completely different. And I'll love it. But he'll do it because it suits his mood or it's a good strategic representation of whatever he's up to at that moment, or whatever, but it won't be because he's worried about what people will think. One of the things I think we all love about him.

Wow, this whole conversation regarding James Durbin and what he said and implied about his singing versus Adams just seems a little silly to me. There will never be another Adam Lambert, he is unique and special on so many different levels. James Durbin is very talented (I think) and needs to find and own his own persona and uniqueness. He will never be another Adam Lambert. I think we need to give this kid a break. He has a long journey ahead of him. There is room for everyone to succeed. I think Adam would be the first to say so.

[/img] Bio First African-American model on the cover of Vogue. Model Mogul. Oprah Legend. Hair Maven.
OT: Beverly Johnson is 52 or 57. Saw her on Oprah recently with a lot of the other older supermodels. She was a trailblazer too, being the first black model on Vogue. Oprah was, oddly, trying to get them all to tell her how it feels to be the most beautiful person in the room. Johnson was the only one who said she tried to be. Paulina Porizkova said that nothing was more bruised than an aging ego. And that on days when she feels whiny about being older, she remembers that aging is a privilege, not a right. Nancy Sinatra. Jackie Collins. Beverly Johnson. Sharon Osbourne. Barbara Walters. Isn't there anyone under age 50 who likes Adam in Hollywood?!
Hi Happycat! Lea Michelle, Sara Gilbert, Katy Perry and Amanda Peet are just a few that come to mind. I'm sure there are many others. It's all good. Those older ladies have a lot of cache.

??? ok, fresh out of the shadows.....yeah, there they are again (dot-dot-dots).....I sent a rather lengthy text msg to my daughter one recent day....her reply? "Oh, mom! you are SO elliptical!!"....but I digress: I've been trying to educate myself on the Help site, but I don't see how to reply to a particular posting, quoting it first, etc. Am I looking in the wrong place? Appreciate the help!!! Every post has a "quote" button in top right hand corner...just click on that............ ;D ;D

What a gorgeous man! And a belated thank you to you, Q3 for finding us our new/old home. Now on to this glorious day to watch, as Scarlett said, Adam pick up that "bad boy".
