His expressions are priceless... His expressions thru this entire bit are wonderful! He comes out fierce and proud, as a fashion icon. Posture erect, confident smile. Then, when the gal says black is out, he just sort of deflates. He says he is not that good of an actor, but the clip contradicts that. He may feel he is not convincing with lines, but, physically, he has it down. Clear and effective without being overdone. It reminded me that his high schoolmmented that Adam was very good at comedy. I hope someone sees this bit, and recognizes what a gem they have here, and gets him a TV or movie role ASAP. I agree and short story, my hubby who is an actor and teaches acting, watched Adam's presentation with me and commented, "Wow, he's a natural, very impressive." Believe me, coming from him that's a huge compliment. I would also like to see Adam branch out some day to acting roles but right now I just want him to make incredible music and be the iconic pop star he is destined to be. There's plenty of time for the other stuff. Besides if he became too caught up in the acting world, I'd miss hearing that incredible voice. Justin Timberlake anyone?

Good morning all I have an Adam story of my own to share with you. A number of my friends know I am an Adam fan but my oldest daughter is the only one that has any idea of how MUCH of a fan I am! She likes him somewhat but has never shared my enthusiasm at all...she stans Michael Franti so she does 'get' it... We were skyping yesterday and she started telling me about a friend of her's concerns with her sons. The oldest is a problem child [20] and the youngest is a sweet young 16 year old who just came out to her as gay. He immerses himself in musical theatre and performing...and is just a really lovely, handsome young man. DD was concerned about how her friend was feeling and dealing with all the trauma about the house. I immediately sent my daughter the links to BTM vids, and then to the EQCA vids and suggested that she may want to share with her friend too. When DD and I spoke a couple of hours later, she was majorly impressed with Adam and assured me that she was going to putt about youtube to find more. She went on about how similar her friends son was to young Adam and is anxious to hear her friend's reaction. I don't know that she will ever stan Adam the way she does Franti...and Tori Amos....but he has definitely moved way up in her estimation. If the second album is what we are all anticipasting, that could change too....she appreciates his talent, just is not her cuppa. But the exciting thing is the help the BTM film has to ease the uncertainties of DD's friend and also the son. I look forward to hearing how that goes. Will keep you posted. Daughter was really excited to pass the show on and went on at length about several friends and acquaintances of hers over the years that fit the Adam mold and how they must have felt at times. She wished she had had this to watch at these times so that she could have been more helpful for them. She is a very empathic person.... As a sidebar....she was right in front of the stage [helping a prof. photog. friend who is in a wheechair...so close...] at the Ottawa Bluesfest when a mighty wind blew the whole stage over. Thankfully it went backwards and the band got off the stage in time so nobody was badly hurt. Seems there has been a rash of these occurances this summer. As a footnote to this, I watched the BTM video last night featuring Ricky Martin and couldn't help thinking what an impact his struggle on coming out had in his life. Compared to Adam who was able to deal with his sexuality at a young age, supported by friends and family. Another reason I am grateful Adam's fame came at a later age allowing him to own who he is before all the craziness.

Sorry, I wasn't finished and I accidentally hit the post button. What I wanted to say is Melanie may be better technically,IDK, but Sasha has heart. Melanie's dancing always seems so cold to me.

Wow -- I am not going anywhere near the Madonna vs. Gaga debate. But want to say that Madonna is highly underrated as an innovator, performer and business person. And -- much to my surprise they are related -- popcrush.com/madonna-lady-gaga-distant-cousins/ So I will stay far away from this potential family feud. But most importantly, they are both on Adam's fav artist list. ETA: I think we have to wait 10 years for the Madge vs. Stephani debate. JMHO YMMV. But many artist who rise so rapidly cannot sustain it for long. Madonna is one of the few who succeeded.

I know people have very mixed feelings about Lady Ga Ga as do I but in her defense she is a great supporter of equal rights for the gay community, she is a very talented singer, songwriter, and was brillant on SNL with Justin Timberlake. Frankly, I think she's here to stay. People use to complain about Madonna years ago, myself included, and, IMO, Lady Ga Ga is much more talented. Is she as good a business woman? IDK. But she is a force to be recognized as someone who is having a huge impact on our society. And if she's willing to use her influence for civil rights more power to her. And, I will repeat, I think she is a great singer, song writer, musician.

Wow, seriously? I totally disagree with this. Lee has been humiliated by Nigel, tossed aside, given NONE of the winner's usual duties for no other reason than he hasn't been particularly successful. After all this BLATANT DISRESPECT, Nigel comes up to him with a minute to spare before Scotty's coronation and tries to shove him on stage? No warning. Any of that could have been prearranged. It was not only incredibly disrespectful, it was ridiculously unprofessional. And what the hell was Lee supposed to do? Step into Scotty's confetti shower and attempt to say a few words? I say good for him. He was put in a lose-lose situation and he took the option that spared him some dignity and he didn't let Svengali Nigel run his game on him. (I don't think that was even what was going through Lee's mind at the time. He was simply saying no to a ridiculous proposal in an impossible situation.) I felt sorry for Lee when it first broke that he wasn't asked to perform. I felt less sorry when some here pointed out that the guy had his opportunities and still got to perform during the season. I felt even less sorry when his brother called Nigel a scumbag. Yes, it was the brother but I'm sure Lee secretly endorsed the brothers tweets otherwise those tweets would have disappeared. Would your sister/brother tell a business associate of yours that they are a scumbag? Wouldn't you have words if they did? That is not the point anyway. Couldn't Lee swallow his pride and make a two-minute announcement? Did he really feel the need to slap Nigel in the face because he wasn't asked to perform? Lee is the one with an almost non-existent career and everything to gain by the exposure. Is he so secure with Sony that he couldn't try to bend a little for Interscope? Maybe be the better person? Does he realize that by refusing to bend a little means that he will never be on the Idol stage again? What Nigel asked Lee was not such a big deal. Lee was lucky that he got to perform during the season as we now see that what was standard operating procedure for prior seasons is no longer valid for the new regime. Lee cut off his nose to spite his face.[/quote I hardly think if Lee wasn't invited to this years Idol he would be invited back in any future years if he went along with Nigel or not. Lee chose not to be used by Nigel. Was it the right choice? Maybe not for you but maybe Lee feels differently. I respect his choice.
