Teri...what a great story! Isn't it a great feeling when other people you don't know start praising Adam?!! ADAM 'GROUPIES' UNITE!! Yes, I love it! I felt particularly vindicated because the friend who was with me at the farmer's market today wasn't really an Adam fan when I dragged her along to the United Center tour kick-off. She had liked Adam well enough on Idol but is a very practical, common-sensed gal and didn't remain as "passionate" as I am about him in the years following the show. Today, though, when the lady commented that she didn't know Adam was touring with Queen and that it must have been great, my friend was the first to pipe up and proudly tell her how amazing it was. I did an internal happy dance!

This comment is clearly NOT original thought, as I've seen similar statements made on here in the past couple months, but how awesome is it that fellow celebrities are now more frequently responding to Adam's shout-outs? I love this Queen gig for him for sooooo many reasons, but the truly deserved increased awareness of and respect for him is heartwarming. In my Chicago-area suburb of about 40,000, I've only once before come across another true "Glambert"; I was at a stopsign, blaring "Fever" during the FYE era, when a car next to me laid on the horn. When I glanced over, the hubby driving was leaning back so I could get a view of his elated wife giving me two thumbs-up. Today, how many years later, I was stopped twice for the Queen+ Adam Lambert concert shirt I wore to work out and to a Farmer's Market in a nearby suburb. One person told me they went to the concert at United Center and, although she didn't know much about Adam before, now considers herself a fan, while the other said she saw another person earlier in the day in the same t-shirt, commented that she had no idea Adam was now touring with Queen, and expressed how awesome that concert must have been (my friend who joined me for a concert and I both assured her that it was amazing). I didn't tell either one I was primarily an Adam fan, but both immediately commented on him. During this same week, my father, who restores antique furniture, had a client in his tiny, rural Illinois town tell him all about the Queen/Adam concert she had attended in Chicago. He shared that his 50-year-old daughter is an Adam "groupie," to which the customer replied, "Watch what you say, I'm a 55-year-old groupie!" So, in about 5 years, I had run across just one fan in my daily travels (not including all the various Adam events I've attended, of course), and in just this past week, I've experienced Adam buzz from three different places. Big things are happening for him, I feel it!

Thank you so much for the stream, mmadamimadamm! It was crystal clear and absolutely wonderful to be able to hear the final performance from the North American leg of the tour. That was so very generous!

Seems the crowd is more into it than the first Toronto show. My husband and I were at the first Toronto show and both thought it was off-the-charts in terms of audience energy. We both thought it was more energetic than the Detroit show the night before, but then I saw many fans online thinking Detroit was better. Thing is, I really think they're all really phenomenal and that ALL the audiences are special, and it really probably depends on those by whom one is sitting how enthralled the audience feels. We were also at Chicago, and it had an entirely different feel than either of the other two: not worse, not better (aside from the fact that everything they did was still a surprise), just different and equally special in a different way. Gosh, I hope they add on more shows! I want moooooooorrrre!

I love the comments, like the one from Sugaree above, when family members towed along to QAL FINALLY get what's the big deal about Adam Lambert. I had taken my husband to the Milwaukee GNT concert, and while he thought Adam had a great live voice, he still didn't really "get it," likely because he really didn't get into the songs Adam was singing. Fast forward a few years: Now, after being carted along with me to three QAL concerts, where Adam's amazing vocals were put to use on some of my husband's favorite songs, he really, truly, seems to understand my passion. I also took along a friend and sister and sold tickets to another friend and her husband. They were all quite impressed, so I've finally disembarked the crazy train in the eyes of several of my closest people. I probably should have taken my two sons, since they are among my greatest eye-rollers, but at least their dad is now a valid witness to Adam's immense talents!

Oh, my, I just read the very lovely piece by Aleks. Wow, what a wonderful analysis of the QAL experience. I love it, Aleks, and am in awe of your writing talent!

I'm sure I'm off in some way in my mental timeline or interpretation of what he said or something, but in this most recent interview with Lindsey Parker, Adam indicates that he has a new label and different management. Didn't he have Direct Marketing Group in place as his management team when he released Trespassing? So, is he still with them? Adam signed with DMG after Trespassing was very far along. So A3 will be his first album done fully with his new management team. As far as I know, Adam has never confirmed he has a new label, he just said he was talking to a couple of labels and some big producers. Then he confirmed he was working with Max Martin which means he almost certainly has a label deal but no word about it. Thank you, Q3! I was hoping he didn't mean he'd changed to new management since they have seemed pretty kick-ass.

Teri63, will be at MSG and Atlantic City a week later. Kind of glad Philly and MSG are back to back. I may have to skip the Philly encore to grab my train. :( Wow, those will all be great, and I'm so jealous of MSG! That will be so epic!
