Seeing how excited Brian May is to be performing again, it makes me doubly annoyed with the negative feedback of some of the die-hard Queen fans on internet article comments. I get that there's just one Freddie Mercury, but there's just one Adam Lambert, too, and he's amazing in his own right! It's not as if Queen has said they are erasing all old Queen tracks and replacing Freddie's vocals with Adam's, LOL! Queen's recorded music will live on forever, but since Freddie, sadly, did not, I'm so happy for Brian and Roger that they have this opportunity to continue doing a job they clearly love! Excuse the rant: I just made the mistake today of reading comments at the end of a Gawker article. Never again!

I would like to extend my thoughts and prayers to Theosgma and family during this difficult time.

I'll contribute to getting to page 2, as well. I can't believe the tour kick-off is now less than a week away! So exciting! Remember when the tour was first announced? June seemed like an eternity away. That time actually flew by quickly for me, but these past two weeks have been crawwwlllllllllling. Next Thursday can't come quickly enough!

Congratulations to everyone getting to attend the IHeart concert! I'm sooooo jealous! I will be seeing the QAL concert tour at several locations (OMG, I can't believe it all begins NEXT WEEK!), but I think those of you winning tickets to the IHeart concert are in for a truly once-in-a-lifetime special treat. Queen and Adam together in a smaller venue should produce spectacular acoustics; I can't even imagine! I was able a couple years back to sit front row at a radio show (Adam was literally right in front of me), and the sound of just his angelic voice in that small setting was goose-bumps-inducing. Add Queen's full, rich, bombastic sounds to that, and I think you are all in for an amazing experience. I can't wait to hear your stories!
Also, I wanted to add my thanks to all those I've read on here for Q3 and Talons's wonderfully interesting and educational daily exploration of Queen's fabulous music catalog. Your countdown has made the anticipation for the tour even more exciting! I can't imagine how much time it must take you both to write such in-depth daily entries. I have always considered myself a Queen fan, but there was so much I didn't know about the band that I learned here these past couple of months. Thank you, thank you!

Apologies if this has already been posted at some point (or if I'm posting this in the wrong place), but I was just able to purchase a parking pass for United Center on June 19th through Ticketmaster. Parking there can be a bear, so I was happy to secure a spot ahead of time. There were two price levels of parking available. Just a bit of info. for anyone who might be driving to United Center and, like me, didn't know you could buy a spot in advance.

Let me clarify -- I have no problem with Caleb singing with KISS as long as he does NOT sing "Beth"! I'm with you there, too, and I think he'd be foolish to even attempt that song after Adam, who not only sounded otherworldly, but literally glowed and sparkled. It would be damn difficult, if not impossible, to come close quality- and ambiance-wise to Adam's performance of that song.

I am so, so glad that Queen + Adam aren't doing the finale with Caleb. I know that I am a completely biased Adam fan, but I like that he's the only Idol contestant thus far to be graced by Queen's legendary presence. Adam, in my opinion, was a uniquely talented contestant, and Caleb, also completely in my own opinion, has some talent, but not uniquely so. Many Idol contestants came before Adam, but he was the first, and only thus far, to pique the interest of Queen. If Queen were to perform on Idol with Caleb now, to me it would be like saying that Caleb=Adam. I'm not saying that there are no other singers out there worthy of Queen's attention; on the contrary, I actually loved their collaboration with Nate Ruess, who, while maybe not technically perfect, has a really cool tone and vibe. I guess maybe it's just a stupid fan-girl jealousy thing on my part, but part of Adam's lore on Idol was that he was THE ONE great enough to attract the legendary Brian May and Roger Taylor. I don't want Adam's notoriety on Idol to be challenged by someone less than stellar, is all.

Oooh, I have so many awesome Adam moments, but since we can only choose one, I'll go with my first best, chronologically speaking. It was after the Idol tour show at Rosemont. I had gone with my son, who was more into Allison and Kris at the time. He suggested going out to the barricades after for a few autographs. I'm not an autograph collector, but wanted to get an up-close glimpse of all of them and especially Adam. We watched them come out a few at a time, and all were sweet and gracious to the fans. We had already heard that Kris wasn't coming out (I think he ended up making a brief appearance), but all through the crowd throughout the entire time, you could hear, "Where's Adam?" Finally, after what seemed like forever, Adam emerged in the distance. I would have known even if I hadn't seen him by the hush that fell over the crowd, coupled with a surge of excited energy. It was then that I knew he had "it," that star power that would give him longevity in the business.

"While we are posting Glee songs:
Here is Gloria, which I loved for the acting and scene that was played out, but OMG has this song become a reality for Naya right now. Getting dumped by fiance, getting fired by Glee and getting dropped by your label all in one week. Talk about a rough time. "
I actually just read on Yahoo that 20th Century Fox has said Naya was not fired from Glee, that she remains on contract.
