I was just checking dates. "Closer" was released in 1994. I was 40. My kids (who are roughly the same age as Adam) must have played it on whatever streaming or pirating service was around then. I know I heard it, and thought it was an interesting song lyrically and musically, despite the "f" imagery. It was certainly raw - like many other Nine Inch Nails songs. So, I'm not clutching pearls. And I'm not clutching pearls about Sam Smith/Kim Petras "Unholy" or Lil Nas X and on and on. BTW, I like Adam's performance of it. And after 30 some years, the "f" factor has worn off.

I ordered another collection and then Adam's, and both were delivered within 10 days. I got multiple emails about delivery - and also about more collections to order.
The product is really great for home use. The first one I tried from Adam's collection is Berry That.

All of the above comments on the drag queen readings and Adam's response. The internet is a dangerous thing. People I knew in another fandom label me as a "Demoncrat". Oh well, I go to a christian church every Sunday and sing in the choir. There are several gay persons in the congregation and the choir. No one is a groomer. (I will not go further into politics per the guidelines for this forum.)

I think you're thinking of the Glastonbury Festival, which Brian objects to.

I got tickets in Boston at a decent price. I was looking for the first level above the floor (we're short) and I would have paid the circa $400 per ticket for VIP, but those disappeared or "another fan" got them. The floor VIP tickets were around $800 each. I got tickets in Loge 21 which is the first level off the floor facing the catwalk and B stage. Each was $249.50 on its face. Of course, with TM's fees tacked on, the total came to $617.25 for both tickets together. Now, supposedly, the digital tickets will be sent to my phone 3 days before the event. Here's where I'm a bit confused. One page says I should store them in my phone's digital wallet to save in case there is an issue with internet when trying to enter, and another page says once I view them in the Ticketmaster app on the phone, they will be available no matter what the connectivity to the 'net is.
Forget High Drama, this was High Anxiety.

Sigh. My husband is having ankle replacement surgery around the 1st of October, and will be unable to put any weight on the leg for at least 4 weeks. I will literally be waiting on him hand and foot, since he won't be able to negotiate the stairs to get to the kitchen. No tour for me. (Closest date is New York City.)

Sigh:: I logged in, saw, as I expected, a flurry of pages for these days around the tour announcement. I decided to make a cup of tea and come back and read the posts. Now, it shows all of those dates as having no more than 2-3 pages! I have logged in and logged out several times, not too close together. Does anyone have any suggestions? 😵💫. Today of all days 😬Perhaps they broke the Internet? QAL on Sirius XM Channel 25 is now tomorrow at 8am Eastern.

I don't know how visas work, but I should. My son married a Canadian who was here on a student visa, working towards a doctorate. After they were married, he sponsored her for a green card - that's been a process, and has been pending for almost two years now. With the student visa, she was able to work in academia - for instance, teaching as an adjunct at a junior college or her university. But then, she was recruited by an international banking institution and hired on as a VP. Apparently, her visa and/or green card status has not been an issue with working. Except that she cannot leave the US while the green card application is pending, so she could not travel to a conference in the UK, and she can't go visit Canada to see relatives.
So, I have no idea what Oliver's visa status is.

I graduated from an all women's Roman Catholic high school in 1972. For our 40th reunion, one classmate revealed that she was married to a female Episcopalian priest. I don't think there was any reaction - those nuns were pretty liberal back in that day. Religion classes were also centered around Jethro Tull and Aqualung. They were cool nuns, which explains a lot about why I am Episcopalian now. I get FB things from classmates about their conservative church thingies. Since you can't win on the internet, I don't comment.

Did anyone receive their CDs from Amazon US? I pre-ordered 2 months ago but they have not shipped yet. So I guess they won't count for 1st weeks sales as I think the cutoff was ship by today to count? I hope all his Amazon sales are not late shipping. I ordered my CD from Adam's fan club site and it hasn't arrived yet. I wonder f those sales count as well? Sure hope so. Was tonight's launch party by invite only or could one buy or win tickets? I ordered a CD and a vinyl from the fan club site, but was noticed that the two would ship together towards the end of March. That's why I ordered just the CD from Amazon - and I did get a signed one. Amazon is usually so prompt on deliveries. I'm surprised that lurleene's wasn't shippe.
