Did anyone receive their CDs from Amazon US? I pre-ordered 2 months ago but they have not shipped yet. So I guess they won't count for 1st weeks sales as I think the cutoff was ship by today to count? I hope all his Amazon sales are not late shipping. Mine came from Amazon on the 24th.

What is going on with log ins? Every time I try to log in, this site wants my identity. Then it sends a message to welcome donnamb, when I can get in, but then I have to log out before logging back in. This is on Chrome. This is continuing. I get an error message, but at the same time it says error, refresh and try again, while saying welcome donnamb. If I log out, and log back in, it redirects and welcomes me back in - until the next time.

It's not like the days of the Glamnation tour when Adam saturated his visits to relatively small venues - I think I saw two shows in New Jersey, one in eastern PA, one in Staten Island (with a meet & greet through Donor's Choose). All were drivable and only one involved an overnight stay. I did get to Vegas in 2021, but timing was not right for vegas '22 nor for the mini-Florida tour. (Still working full-time, so no long-distance travel in the cards. And no day off to stand in a queue in NYC for a quickie M&G when what I yearn for is live music.) Oh, well, it is what it is.

Well, I think it boils down to having preferences in how we look at celebrities and how they choose to present themselves.
I'm a plain Jane myself and don't really enjoy looking at OTT anything, whether it's clothes or makeup...don't care whether it's gay or straight or anything else. I love, love, love Adam's voice and I tend to find the weird clothes and makeup distracting. But I've gotten used to that it's something he enjoys, and I love listening to him so I pretty ignore it. I'm not a fan of SS or Demi, or Lizzo or any of these other people, so their outrageous behavior and clothing (or non-clothing in Lizzo's case) doesn't entice me to WANT to listen to them. Because they don't have a voice and a talent that distracts me from the other stuff. For me personally, Adam can pretty much wear whatever the hell he wants, because at the end of the day what makes me happy is his voice and his talent. Yep. I don't care much for Lizzo, Beyonce, Billy Porter, LNX, Nick Jonas, Sam, or Gaga either. Tho I think Gaga is less OTT and taken more seriously and gets so much more critical acclaim than she did when she just looked so try so hard, imo. I can't deny that SS and Kim Petras have an earworm of a tune in Unholy, even if I can't understand half the words. The performances and choreography leave me less impressed. Like LNX, a lot of effort to be "shocking". I can't tell you what "most" gay people would do or present themselves. I don't personally know anyone in pop music or the fashion industry. The ones I do know are classical musicians, psychologists, scientists, priests. So, they dress like other classical musicians, psychologists, scientists and priests in public life. So, I give a pass to those persons who are able to be more "outrageous" in their public persona as an entertainer.

I was reminded today that Kim Petras is not actually the first trans artist to receive a grammy. That honor went to Wendy Carlos. A pioneer in electronic music who won 3 grammys. Her dead name was Walter Carlos. She is now 83. She did Switched on Bach advancing synthesizer instrumentation, and Clockwork Orange.

I dont even know if that was a recent statement or a recycled statement about cis roles, trans roles, and het to gay roles I see the point about more recruiting of gay actors to portray gay human beings.

I could become addicted to Scandinavian salty licorice. It's not something you can find in shops, though. The variety I like the most came from Jacobsensalt.com. Pricey. Licorice.com says it has salty licorice, but, while it's decent and certainly not American sweet licorice, it doesn't hit that bitter flavor. Then, my sister-in-law (husband's sister) raised in the US, but moved to Sweden in 1978, can't abide salty licorice.

I had a ticket for some radio show in NYC back in December 2018 or maybe 2017 where Adam was appearing and Duran Duran was also performing. Sadly, I had to work that night on short notice. Maybe Adam heard Ordinary World that night.

The World Cup is a big competition. Same goes for Eurovision. No interest for me - including US football unless I hold a watching party. Then I go into cooking mode.
