We will also hear his new music before the PlayMobil song apparently. Plus he probably doesn't have a writing credit on the song for the movie. So no Oscar or Grammy for him.
He's not at the Oscars. I wonder if Brian and Roger said: we only want to perform with Adam or not. Re Oscar/Grammy for the Maximus song: Ya, I didn’t think of that! But..IF the song gets nominated for Oscar Adam might get to perform - THAT would be something! Re QAL at 2019 Oscars: interesting question... but as I’ve posted before, I can’t imagine they’d say NO to Gaga (which I suppose would be on the table if they were asked to perform)... on the other hand why would they refuse to perform on such a big stage? I can see a scenario where they would have agreed to have Gaga join Adam, but she wanted to perform solo, and that wasn’t acceptable to B&R. oh well, useless speculations... one thing we know: 2019 will be very exciting in Adam land! I am guessing that the only way Gaga will perform is doing Shallow with Bradley Cooper. If she did more than that I think it might look a little like favoritism. She should have one performance, IMO. Queen with Adam would be a spectacular and surely memorable way to open the Oscars. Also, even without knowing how Bo Rhap would do at the box office, the NFL is so short-sighted. This would have been the perfect year to have QAL do the Super Bowl because they have now captured the minds and hearts of millennials and younger fans, a target demographic.

Quite often, the SAG awards are the predictors of the acting awards at the Oscars. We will see this year but Rami has 2 of the 4 major awards so far so that’s huge. What's the 4th one? Sorry, I never pay attention to these awards shows. BAFTA is a biggie.

Gaga's fans are going to declare war if she doesn't win at the Oscars. I loved Gaga in that film but at this point, it seems to be Glenn Close’s to lose.

Whoopi mentioned only Queen, not Adam. No idea, if she even knows about QAL. Sorry, I won’t get my hopes up on Adam performing at the Oscars. They might ask Queen for a little intro or whatever. But this Acadamy Award is so oldschool and completely dictated by the most old-fashioned rules, that they won’t change their tradition for Adam. It‘s Queen + Adam Lambert. Two entities, put together. But like Adam, Queen CAN perform on their own. That’s how the Acadamy peeps will see it, if they even think of a Queen performance. Or they will pair them with Lady Gaga, because SHE is nominated and therefore fits the bill. Sorry, for being so negative , I can‘t see a QAL performance. But: Dream on - sometimes dreams do come true. 🙂 To add: I think, it’s even more likely, that they do a little tribute to Queen in the opening number. Because: Queen doesn’t exist any longer. At least not in the way, that is shown in the movie. So: Who is this year‘s host? I believe that after the Kevin Hart debacle, they are going host-less unless there is an update I am not aware of.

If any of you guys live in the LA area, there’s going to be a Bohemian Rhapsody sing-along at the AMC Broadway in Santa Monica starting this Friday through at least next Wednesday and I believe there will be some at the Landmark theaters so check your local listings if you’re interested. For anyone who’s not in LA I guess check your local listings to see if maybe they’re going to expand this to other cities? I need to check it out!

BR was a success with Rami. Adam is a success as the frontman for Queen. They have their own lane. But after 5 or 6 years of Adam touring successfully with Queen, it makes no sense to me to say it was because of a movie that just came out this year. Is there more awareness because the movie just made a splash? Yes. But who would want to bet the if Adam had decided to not tour with Queen this time that those tickets would NOT be selling as fast. Give Rami and the movie credit. But let Adam have his success that he has earned for what he has done instead of giving it to someone else. The same applies to Rami, his success is because of him. And TBH, I don't care who thinks Adam is not Freddie. I would not trade the sexy, handsome and great vocalist that is Adam Lambert for anyone. The earned accolades for one should not be used to take the earned accolades away from another. I celebrate both Adam and Rami. Neither could accomplish what the other one has but they have both done their jobs more than well. . Bravo!!! You said it perfectly.

I may be reading into something that isn’t here but it kinda feels like there could be some competition between Adam and Rami brought on by some fans. I could be completely out of left field and it wouldn’t be the first time, but it feels as if perhaps one owes the other something? I just see QAL and Bo Rhap as two completely separate things, the only connection being that some Adam fans might not have not seen the movie if he wasn’t their frontman and some new Queen fans are likely to check out QAL now. However, Rami is, IMO, Adam’s counterpart only in that they are both humble and nothing but gracious and grateful regarding the time they have spent in the Queen family thus far. Beyond thrilled for Rami and the guys and thought he might win best actor but never throught they’d win best drama.
