Yup, I missed the audition because I didn't watch that the auditions in those days. I didn't like the way they made fun of certain contestants. So only saw Adam for the first time when he sang (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. I remember he charmed me with his little intro bit. I thought oh that will be a hard song to pull off as Mick Jagger just oozes charisma when he's on stage. Then Adam floored me! I couldn't wait to tune in week after week.

Happy New Year back at ya! I think you are one of the younger members here so always nice to hear from you. Sorry that Covid messed up your plans. That virus seems to be prowling around here again. I know of a couple of new babies born so that's always a positive in this world of ours!! Thanks Happy! 😇💚 I'm 32, so it somewhat depends on the persoective if i'm Young or Not lol At the "Maifest" in Our town IT was fascinating and Kind of shocking to See how Well social norms seem to Work. How it Just funktions Like a clockwork that between the age of 27-33 Most (of course Not all) marry/build a house/have children. I think to a lot of us here, 32 is young! You're just a bit younger than my kids!

Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. Just watch Adam and Beverley nail their duet! All a bit weird for me though -- LOL -- Adam, the very holy Westminster Abbey, the very secular The Christmas Song!

If that's Adams closet, it looks like he has a revolving clothes rack in there? Something like the dry cleaners use? And a very nice steamer also. LOL Looking at the practical side of Adam's party!

marionm Well they did sing The Christmas Song which is strictly speaking a pop song at an event that was billed as a Christmas Carol Service. LOL I was a bit surprised. It might be considered a "secular" song but it's been a Christmas Carol for as long as I've been alive. Written in 1945. It at least has more connection to Christmas than the Harry Styles song that they covered which was where the confusion started. LOL Oh, I know it goes way back and I love the song. It's just strictly speaking, it doesn't fit into the definition of a carol which is religious. But that was cleared up for me in the December 16 thread when it was mentioned that the program combined "traditional and modern elements to encompass people of all faiths and none."
