Okay, I'll play:
Why I don't want him to do Idol (and yes, it is all about me):
1) I will be forced to watch that show again. Oh the humanity...
2) I will spend those viewing hours hopping up and down on my couch loudly exhorting the camera to SHOW ADAM AGAIN DAMMIT and then after every "performance," at even higher volume, "JFC ADAM GET UP THERE AND SHOW THEM HOW IT'S DONE!!!!!!!!!"
Positive side...the next time someone gets up there and murders "Jesus Take The Wheel," wearing a flag lapel pin and a four-inch crucifix, holding a Bible in one hand and a geeetar in the other while wearing a MADE IN THE USA tee shirt, Adam would be there to glare him/her down and just say, "Bitch? PUH--LEASE."

Guize, I'm going nuts trying to find that moment when Adam is singing in Brian's face all melodramatic and Brian cracks up. Was it TSMGO somewhere? Is there a gif anywhere? One of my FAVORITE of many moments this week. That one and also the one where Adam is riffing up on the drum set with Roger and Roger keeps pointing to him back and forth. UGH my bookmarking is so FAIL. Pretty sure you are referring to Somebody to Love from KIEV! It's the lyrics when he is"going crazy, with water on his brain." It's the only night he did it!  OH maybe that one! It was definitely a laugh, like a WTF OMG laugh that caught him off guard..because I remember us cracking up at Brian cracking up. lemme go watch Kiev again and see if it's a continuation of this THANKS! |

I don't like Idol but I will be at peace with this because of the obvious advantages, so long as they refocus the show on finding and developing actual talent.
The judging rumors are all over the map. If they turn the show into a carnival freak show as some suggest, I'd be beyond horrified for Adam to be involved.

If, and it's a BIG IF, Adam gets the Idol gig, the criticism will only be before the general public sees how articulate and thoughtful he is. Once the shows start, he will be America's fvaorite judge EVAH! C'mon, we all know how irrestible he is when he talks! Actually, my family and friends that are not in the Idol bubble, which is almost everyone, have been telling me that they think Adam would be perfect! And who the hell cares about the Idol Bubble people. I know Nigel doesn't or he would be making changes we've been "talking" about for years!! And I sure don't. I think the butthurt from other Idols' fans is funny! ;D I don't know if it's really such a BIG IF... My hunch is he has it locked or he wouldn't have been so giddy when asked about it. But I know Nothing... ;D |
