7. The Queen fans have been living the fandom cray for decades and they don't seem to have a cool moniker. That's a little sad...... I can't think of one though. 8. I nominate TALON for the "YEAH COOL MAN JOINS THE BOARD AND SAYS AWESOME WORDS" winner of the week. That's what I have for today! 8 first. Thank you! :D 7. I mentioned it earlier but at one point there was a group that was following them around during the UK tours and into the European ones. They were called The Royal Family MY PREDICTIONS: 1. Queen will play one AFL song as a 2nd encore Saturday night. I would kill for Shady. Are Nile Rogers and Sam Sparro in London by chance? 2. AFL gets the Idol gig. I distain this show. Would prefer him in a mentoring situation but if the gig helps his career then it's a great strategic move with $$$. 3. AFL plays the closing Olympic ceremony with Queen. 4. There will be QueenBert concerts coming to the USA soon. #2 and #4 I think are highly likey. #3 I still think is unlikely...I think the committee wants to stick to the UK only...at this time. #4 - I wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm not ruling it out but you never know. I do know that Brian did praise Time For Miracles... Oh dear.... That song wouldn't be high on my list. Trespassing, Cuckoo, Shady probably in that order.

If, and it's a BIG IF, Adam gets the Idol gig, the criticism will only be before the general public sees how articulate and thoughtful he is. Once the shows start, he will be America's fvaorite judge EVAH! C'mon, we all know how irrestible he is when he talks! Actually, my family and friends that are not in the Idol bubble, which is almost everyone, have been telling me that they think Adam would be perfect! And who the hell cares about the Idol Bubble people. I know Nigel doesn't or he would be making changes we've been "talking" about for years!! And I sure don't. I think the butthurt from other Idols' fans is funny! ;D
True.
And I forgot to add to my "I WANT it for him" list - the MONEY!!!!
Don't you think with 3 open spots now (and all the publicity) the odds are pretty darn good that he'll get it? I would hate to get our my hopes up just to have them dashed again, but still.............
Hi Jazzrocks (waves)
I agree with all ur reasons about Idol. Just a side note, a few days ago I read another site that the L.A. Times had an article a while ago about Idol judges and money. According to them, part of the deal is judges bringing up ratings, and if ratings go down, people don't have the same negotiation power as before. So it's possible both Steven and Jlo were not enthusiastic about coming back if the money was not to their liking.
I think it might be a great gig for Adam, but only if the let him perform every week :

I'm sorry but Chokehold is just another radio track. Trespassing is funky with a bit of rock and a sick bass line. He has some killer vocals on Trespassing also. But as you said, everyone got their own favorite How about "Born to be Wild"? 8-) Trespassing is way more Queen than Chokehold, IMO. Remember all the reviewers that compared it to AOBTD? However, this is a Queen concert. I am not expecting any Adam songs. Of course, there is the little rumor that Tommy took his guitar with him on his flight to London. I assumed it was to get a Brian May autograph. ;D For me, AOBTD wouldn't be my first choice if I HAD TO PICK ONE song to hook a new audience into Queen's music. DittoTrespassing. Yeah, it's cute blah blah but Queen peeps after just hearing fucking BoRhap are gonna be a bit hard to impress. But that's just me. I remember reading tweets at Adam's Chicago show during TSP "I don't understand a single word Adam Lambert is singing with this song but he's cute" hahaha I have the entire guitar in my head too, of how Brian would make that crowd go crazy behind Adam's vocals on CH, but I get that it's not for everybody. I'd love to hear what he'd do with OOL, too. Not exactly the way to end a great show with everybody crying over marriage equality hahaha.

Okay, I'll play: Positive side...the next time someone gets up there and murders "Jesus Take The Wheel," wearing a flag lapel pin and a four-inch crucifix, holding a Bible in one hand and a geeetar in the other while wearing a MADE IN THE USA tee shirt, Adam would be there to glare him/her down and just say, "Bitch? PUH--LEASE." OMG, this is the absolute best comment ever on the subject of AI!!

Then he has to do Can't Let You Go, Underneath, Runnin, or Sleepwalker. If making an impression is the name of the game... Shady if 'hookin' is the name of the game....jmho

The IDOL exposure is nothing to sneeze at -- JLo went from #50 in some sort of popularity to #1 over the course of her two years there -- just heard that on a "news" piece on Good Afternoon America (very lame show). Actually, the success that came with the IDOL exposure has caused her decision to leave -- too much to do and so little time.

I think Kiev was my favorite show, too. The first show, the massive crowd, and just the whole vibe of it.

Personally, I think the saying "jack of all trades, master of none" describes J-Lo perfectly. I won't miss seeing her on my TV. J/S
