Super busy today but just dropping in very quickly to say, in Sauli-like fashion: YAY! This whole Queen thing was cool. Also, gotta LOL to myself a little, bc the thread today is written as if someone died or something. I understand the sense of loss/ending, so I don't wanna make fun of it, but, as Adam said, this is just the beginning guys! He's on to more awesome things, who knows what the future holds! Looking forward to the Adam concerts this week!! INDEED!

Just popping in to say THANK YOU to Tinafea!!!!!!
My last day in London, than back to the US and back to Trespassing concerts.
I am so happy that I just followed my heart and came here. Queenbert was wonderful, meeting so many from ATOP and so many new friends here in London was beyond that.

o.k time for a little recap as i have now recovered enough to gather my thoughts.
Met up with (slightly damaged) tillyfilly at crewe, (hope knee is not too bad), to whom i must be eternally gratefull for her sterling work finding hotel and great tixs for wed, got caught in heavy downpour and arrived at hotel ,like a pair of drowned rats. after shaking of water and putting on glad rags (mine are never that glad),we headed to LALA.
KUDOS TO THE ORGANISERS (jill and helpers) great night!
i so enjoyed meeting all the other Atopers there ,ha i now know what you look like.its quite surprising how noone ever looks how i imagine them to!
wed night was amazing ,i was just blown away, there are people hear who can describe the music far better than me so i will leave that to them, Thurs ,GA ,we decided not to queue ,Tilly,s leg had now blown up like one of the party balloons, and was getting quite scary looking . arrived at venue after 7.00 and got places on the left about 4 ROWS BACK! couldnt believe we were so close!
the atmosphere was building and just turned electrifying when the concert started up and we were having a blast untill 2 huge, and i mean HUGE guys 6" plus and well built(fat) started pushing forward and bouncing off people in the crowd, one bounced off me,wrong move ,the inner jack russell flew out the cage and before i could stop it ,it sank its claws into the guy,s neck, and hauled him back by the scruff of his neck!
the other (bigger) one then bounced off me ,so i dug the heal of my boot into his foot and ground down with all my weight,so after yelling at me "are you 5 or what "they both behaved !
after it calmed down i did realise that was a stupid thing to do ,as i am not very big and 60yr old ,so we decided to move a few rows back for the encore to avoid any retaliation from them, but still had an amazing view ,perhaps even better for the spectacle that followed.
the downer ,i could not raise any money for tillyfilly ,no,one buy,s a lame horse!!! so had to return to scotland, but so wished i had been able to stay for round 3 it was a fantastic experience ,one i will remember a long time (untill dementia sets in)
huge thank you to tilly filly for your company ,a real trouper ,hope your leg recovers.
also a HUGE thank you to CATZ, for the live stream last night ,i feel honoured to have met you!!!
please excuse grammar +typo,s

THANKS to tinafea for steering the boat so skillfully while Q3 was away you did an job!! MY QUEENBERT MOMENT:My all time favorite QUEEN SONG ever has always been I Want to Break Free. Adam performing his version - personalizing it with his life (Sauli) and his joyful voice and carefree style has left me totally and utterly verklempt (a word I've learned on this wonderful Atop forum)

There are two things I remember vividly from the pre-Queenbert era: 1. the worry about Adam's voice and how it would handle such demanding songs for six shows. Back then I didn't even know how big the set was going to be. After Kiev, I was shocked by the sheer duration of it. Bloody marathon! 2. Adam's insistence that this would be a one time thing because he has his own material, the new album, etc, etc... About the first: insert here any ass-shaking, foot-stomping, hands-clapping, face-splitting happy grin because his voice is a MONSTER and last night, I listened to him belt out his glory notes with such ease and thought that this freak could go on and on and on, and they could have booked more shows and he would have done it, in a slide! He is a tough cookie, a very gorgeous, sexy, adorable, tough cookie! The second makes my heart melt because somewhere along the line, in the purple haze of the reflectors and pyro, while Adam was tiptoeing around the emotional and historic subcontext of the shows, something wonderful happened. He let go, whether gently pushed by the ever so warm, supportive and lovely Brian and Roger, or by the more than appreciative, confused at first and then enlightened, jaw gapping audience, and finally accepted this creation as his, too. It was the thing of heart, not of his stage play. What Adam felt about this cannot be measured in minutes he spent next to or behind Brian as opposed to the time he spent in the spotlight. Its physical manifestation is irrelevant. The shows could have been over without Adam truly embracing the creative part of his own in them. It was nothing short of a miracle to me. As if he finally allowed himself to acknowkledge his part, his hard work and his contribution to the performances. To feel free to think that this is his work of art as well. Here is that moment: And that's why we are going to see more of this amazing collaboration, because Adam, and I think Brian and Roger as well, realized that it's so much more than an AI runner-up singing old Queen songs with Queen-but-not-Queen: they created something different, something new, born out of their interaction and they liked it. We liked it. And judging by the reviews, the world liked it as well. This morning, I wanted to tweet Adam with ever so corny, but surprisingly fitting: Good morning. Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life. Thankfully, I didn't, but that's how I felt. These shows are a huge landmark of his career, his life. It has left impact on both. And I won't even begin to describe what it has done to us. I'm joyfully looking forward to Adam's work, whether it be with his own songs or the shows with Queen again. Both are equally magical.
