Wow, just got back from the UK at 11:30pm Friday nite, after a diversion to another airport due to weather, but we finally landed in Atlanta 4 hours later, and I got home successfully. I was thankful after such epic concerts in the UK. UK was having one of their worst summers, and it rained and was cold everyday, but that didn't stifle the joyfulness of the concerts.
My comment on the balcony. Everytime Adam performed the balcony was on its feet. Everytime Roger and Brian performed they sat down. My second nite was GA standing, and it was the most epic nite due to circumstances. I will relate my story, so bear with me.
My friend from Wales, although she thinks Adam is talented, didn't want to do the second nite which was standing, so I was stuck with an extra ticket. After dinner with a bunch of Adamtopians at the LaLa Brassiere, I forged thru the rain to stand outside and give the ticket away. I landed up talking to 2 young men who were also trying to give a ticket away, because the wife of one decided not to go. They were tall lads, brothers and both in their mid thirties. One lives in London and the other in Denmark, both Brits.
The one who lives in Denmark had come specifically for the concerts. He was attending all 3. He was a diehard Queen fan and one of those that is a member of a Queen forum. We chatted a lot, and we landed up standing together inside. He had total of 36 concerts when Paul Rogers fronted the group and also had seen Freddie , when he was quite young. He said that Adam was probably the most likely to front Queen, as he was theatrical, could sing and brought a totaly new energy to Queen. He new every word to every song and sang along to every single song.
However he was quiet during Who Wants to Live Forever and the Show must go on. I turned around during The Show Must Go On, and there were actually tears streaming down his face while Adam sang. I asked him why, and he said Adam sang it better than Freddie, and the same with Who wants to live Forever, that he was so overcome with emotion, that it pierced his heart. This was a die hard Queen fan speaking, and it made me verklempt.
We had so much fun at this show, that Denmark man said that he was going onto the Queen forum, to state his views and he was going to tell them that Adam fans are the best. Made my nite.
I cannot even begin to tell you the emotions I felt for both nights. I felt the second nite was better than the first nite, and I didn't feel that the band overwhelmed Adam's voice as much as the first night. It was loud for a smaller venue. I wanted Brian and Roger's music less loud, and Adam's voice more front and center. But that second nite, it was terrific. I wish in retrospect, I had stayed for the third nite. My friend already had barraged me 10 days on how I needed counseling, and forbade me to utter any word concerning Adam and the concerts. She did however concede that I was mild compared to some of the Adam fans she met. Bah humbug, lesson lerned also...........hang with Atopians when you go on trips like this.
On the tube back to my hotel, met 3 peeps.. One gal had traveled from Argentina, a young man came from Italy and another young man had come from Hungary to see the concerts.
By the way the audience was at least 80 percent men, both nights I attended.

Aleksandra, your words have touched my heart. As all who have read, tears flowed while experiencing your expression. Beautiful
Smokeyvera, so happy you were able to stand next to the gentleman and to see his reaction to Adam's wonderful interpretation of those songs.
To all who were blessed to see these remarkable shows live and to share with everyone, thank you.

1. the worry about Adam's voice and how it would handle such demanding songs for six shows. Back then I didn't even know how big the set was going to be. After Kiev, I was shocked by the sheer duration of it. Bloody marathon! Adam's voice always surprises! "He has no low register", we get Runnin', "His voice can't handle a Queen-length set", he fucking nails six sets, two of them being in a row! Alien!! ;D

Aleksandra - beautiful post. Thank you for sharing.
Tinafea - thank you for all that you do and did while Q3 was away. Have a great time at the concerts this coming week. You deserve to have the best time ever.
It was a lot of fun the last couple of days finding tweets, posting videos, and pictures.
Thank you to all who have shared their Queen/Adam concert experiences. Looking forward to hearing from the rest of the members once they return from their travels.
