WOW! (See bolded lines) Forget the haters and radio for the moment - this has to make Adam's day/week/year!  That is the most beautiful compliment from Brian, amazing. And, you're right, I'm sure Adam really will appreciate it, take it in, and value what it means. gelly: Can you add that to the vocal masterclass thread, "what they are saying about the vocals"? Q3, Adam wants radio success, so I want it for him. As far as RCA's marketing plan, how many failed singles do the suits have to choose before they realize their plan is not working?. Adam's first 2 hits WWFM& IIHY crossed over from CHR to HAC, not vice versa. Let's leave the deep strategy discussion for the Numbers Thread. Generally, I agree with you -- no doubt that Adam wants Pop radio hits -- and I also agree that RCA has made two poor single choices. For me, the gap is mostly that these singles do not represent the album's brilliance -- so even if someone heard BTIKM or NCOE, what good do they do? Radio airplay is only good IF it sells music or expands the fanbase or inspires people to buy concert tickets. Otherwise it is essentially a promotional expense. And it is expensive. It will be interesting to see what happens next but I expect a third single released in the Fall. And they have no more "safe" tracks to release. They have to go with an Adam track this time around. |

Shady would be my number 1 choice for a single. Whenever I play the Trespassing album, I always replay Shady immediately. Once is never enough!. Interestingly, even though I liked both BTIKM and NCOE at the time, I've become tired of them and always skip.

Well I have no clue if Nigel considers Adam a big star or not. He's a big star in my mind for all the reasons you listed and more. Not so sure about Nigel though. Being perfect for Idol? You're preaching to the choir! ;D
