Now, the industry needs to accept that these talent shows can actually produce a few outstanding individuals. That may take some time to come. Even Carrie Underwood still gets flak.
One of my late husband's favorite sayings was "Even a blind pig finds an acorn sometimes." (In other words, anyone can get lucky in the right circumstances.) Idol was VERY lucky that Adam showed up to audition, and we're still reaping the benefits!

THe "cocked' word is in the second for third verse of the song. I think because Adam sings it, the PD's would snub him if it was CeeLo or even Rihanna, no problem.! BTW Q102 has taken NCOE off their playlist as well as on the front page, you can no longer vote for it. Last week NOCE was #32. TOday, not in the #300 maybe a clerical error who knows. Maybe they are getting ready for the third single? I hope 8-) I don't understand why "cocked" would be bleeped. It's used as in "cocking a gun, etc", no? Nothing wrong with that imo. Unless of course pd's think it's dirty just because it's Adam. I just checked Q102's mediabase chart. It's still there for me. You can also do the green thumb voting by starting to type it. AND it's also on the Top 10 at 10 list. Maybe it's been removed from the station playlist (haven't checked that) but it's still on the places I mentioned. It's still there for me too, but it no longer shows up on the WKTU mediabase. ???

Check this website out. They interviewed lots of concertgoers before and after the Queen concert. I got interviewed on Saturday night, not sure whether that was the only evening they were there or not. It was the only evening I saw them there. Lots of die hard Queen fans being interviewed. The one on page 2, row 4 number 5 is good. Saw Freddie live and called Adam an excellent entertainer (mine is on page 1, row 3 number 5) www.winkball.com/walls/8RCBC1aCjNd9/queen-and-adam-lambert-hmv-apolloNot sure whether the link will work like this, but giving it a try Yay, Dutchie. Very articulate and good promo. THIS^^ dutchie you were amazing!! Managed to promote EVERYTHING ADAM enthusiastically, without being OTT and looking cray - I would have been a blithering idiot. My hat's off to you!! (thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday guys - I had a lovely day! )

Talon, great to see you back here Yup, we got it. I have corrected the "who called whom" mistake in the translation, so if you can and think it makes any difference for the QOL folks, please feel free to post there: Culture: What music do you listen to while driving?
May: Yes, what you want, depending on your mood, from Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff to the Foo Fighters and the new album of the same Adam Lambert - I absolutely omnivorous.
Culture: And why do your co-operation began with Adam? How and why did you choose it?
May: I think some things in this world is predetermined, prescribed by fate itself. Once Adam came on the scene in the show American Idol, our drummer Roger Taylor began receiving calls and sms-messages along the lines of: "You should pay attention to this guy! He's great! He - like Freddie! He was the only person who can do his songs, 'and everything like that. Of course, we were intrigued. And then the show organizers called us and asked if we would want to play with the two finalists - we were pleased to do so. During this mini-set, we found that Adam is really phenomenal. Then at the MTV Awards ceremony in Belfast, we, along with Adam played The Show Must Go On, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions - and he was again incomparable. Therefore, when shortly after the above ceremony, the Russian promoters reached out to us with a proposal to perform with Adam Lambert in your country, we did not think for too long.

OK, I wasn't going to bring this up, but can't resist.
Wuz looking at a new Mick Jagger biography at the library this weekend and reading some passages. Remember how Mick often used to wear leotards to shows? According to this book, he never went on stage without padding. (Guess "put a sock in it" has a whole different meaning for old Mick.)
Does Adam even know what socks are?
