Nigel is not involved in the selection of judges and his contract may not be removed. He is, however, one of the few people involved with CKX/19/Freemantle/Fox who has said anything to the press. It appears that Fox is actively involved in calling the shots on who the judges will be and may be paying some additional money to get "big stars". I can't decide how I feel about Adam being an Idol judge -- mostly, I lean toward the "pick the other path unless they pay you a fucking ton of money" side. If they ask him, and if he says yes, then he will be forever associated with Idol -- for better and for worse. It seems that he will be forever associated with Idol anyway. But the main thing is that he clearly wants it. That's all that counts to me. I doubt though that Fox will have him just because of their advertisers and conservative viewrship . Hope I am wrong but the network that provides home for the vilest of the vile Fox News organization will always be a suspect ... for me for you... Well I don't agree, FOX does have Glee,nothing more gay than that show. For some reason ,call me crazy,I think Adam has this.. He's an Idol heart throb and one of the best they ever had.. IMHO His impact, They changed the show because of how he performed a song.. It became important to not only sing but to emote. My thought is Adam may turn them down ,because they may want him for less money than the other judge or judges that they pick |

The business about "big stars can't be away from their public for more than a year" sounds like contract negotating speak for, "we don't want to sign anyone up for longer than that in case they once again turn out to be boring stiffs who don't do a thing for ratings."

Well I don't agree, FOX does have Glee,nothing more gay than that show. Yeah, no big fan of Fox News or much of their other stuff, but they haven't been homophobic in their programming. Heck, Bill O'Reilly even stuck up for Chaz Bono when he was on Dancing With the Stars. TV seems much more gay-friendly than radio by a huge order of magnitude. |

Check this website out. They interviewed lots of concertgoers before and after the Queen concert. I got interviewed on Saturday night, not sure whether that was the only evening they were there or not. It was the only evening I saw them there. Lots of die hard Queen fans being interviewed. The one on page 2, row 4 number 5 is good.
