THe "cocked' word is in the second for third verse of the song. I think because Adam sings it, the PD's would snub him if it was CeeLo or even Rihanna, no problem.! BTW Q102 has taken NCOE off their playlist as well as on the front page, you can no longer vote for it. Last week NOCE was #32. TOday, not in the #300 maybe a clerical error who knows. Maybe they are getting ready for the third single? I hope 8-) I don't understand why "cocked" would be bleeped. It's used as in "cocking a gun, etc", no? Nothing wrong with that imo. Unless of course pd's think it's dirty just because it's Adam. I just checked Q102's mediabase chart. It's still there for me. You can also do the green thumb voting by starting to type it. AND it's also on the Top 10 at 10 list. Maybe it's been removed from the station playlist (haven't checked that) but it's still on the places I mentioned.

Lol, while I am sure Shoshanna is happy enough with the chart results, there is absolutely no way she would ever say on twitter if she wasn't. I hope it is enough to get something going in the UK. They may be ready for a new single in the UK if Radio 1 is not biting. But, I don't think they should go ahead with another single in the US unless they have "figured out the radio situation," or have a brand-new strategy to sell a song. Shoshanna could have easily passed on that question but she chose to answer it. That is important. Adam has an album and a single that debuted in the Top 20 in the UK. There is nothing but good in that. Trespassing exceeded sales expectations and has been restocked 2 times at HMV (the most important music retailer in the UK). They need to convince retailers to stock Adam's music and they have done that. RCA/Sony is treating this like the launch of a new artist and considers Adam to be an artist in development. And the path is promising. ******* If the measure of Adam's success is going to be radio airplay on Radio 1, KIIS FM Los Angeles and similar stations around the world, forget it. These stations' playlists target 15/18-25 year olds and have an urban-oriented playlist. Adam as a recording artist is being marketed as an Adult Pop artist --- basically women 25-49. Does he have fans in the "coveted" 18-25 age group? Sure. But that is not the focus of the RCA/Sony marketing effort. Could he get a cross-over hit? Sure, but not likely. It would take a song like Levine's "Moves Like Jagger" -- and that song did a lot for Adam Levine, not so much for Xtina. ETA: "Adult Pop" is NOT saying HAC radio format, but saying much of CHR/Pop, all of HAC and some AC stations. It is the biggest music-buying segment in the world, #2 in the US to Country. ******* Regarding a third single -- It is really easy for us to post on a fan forum that they should say WTF and release Trespassing or Cuckoo as a 3rd radio single, but promoting a 3rd single in the US/Canada would cost about as much as the first 8 tracks of Adam's third album. For me the measure of Adam's success is that he continues to create music, and perform, and makes some money, and is happy. Adam performing at the Hammersmith with Queen was joyful. He appeared to be as happy as I have even seen him. (Either that or he is a much better actor than we know.) Finally, there is no way to underestimate the value of the Queen concerts in getting Adam recognized as a unique vocal talent/performer. This is where he really shines. The concerts are still generating buzz and building his reputation in the UK and beyond. The money in the music business in now in live performances -- not sale of recorded music -- and Adam is perfectly positioned to capitalize on this.

shoshanna stone @shoshannastone and this story is hilarious www.music-news.com/shownews.asp?H … I mean....... www.music-news.com/shownews.asp?H=Adam-Lambert-is-boyband-fan&nItemID=54240Adam Lambert is boyband fan Adam Lambert would love to be in *NSYNC. The American singer was quizzed on his views about British boybands One Direction and The Wanted. He couldn't answer which group he admires the most, explaining his is still a fan of bands from the '90s. 'Hmmm. I'd be in *NSYNC,' he laughed. The American group comprised of Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick. Adam released his second record Trespassing earlier this year. He is proud of the album and thinks it will appeal to many different types of people if they give it a go. 'I really believe in its message and its grooves. I truly believe there's something for everyone on this album,' he told Just Pop! magazine. MORE

Sure - but they HAVE to keep radio in mind, cause what good does it do to "let Adam be Adam" if no one hears the song? ??? I know , I know But , hey , Trespassing is A GREAT song , and , it is radio friendly , IMO . Cuckoo , is a radio friendly song , too . (they can edit out the "ass" , "fuck" for it to be on radio . and , Shady is on FIRE !!!! . and a lot more . almost all the songs on Trespassing are BEAUTIFUL . At least for me , I live in Syria , and I don't have a clue about "what is radio friendly or not" , But I think if a song "awakens something in you" , the it's a hit . and believe me , neither BTIKM , or NCOE awakened something in me, it just didn't click like "Shady" , or "Cuckoo" , or "Trespassing" . THIS, especially the highlighted words. Totally agree. (but i do like BTIKM.) If they want a catchy dancy single, there are plenty better choices in the first half of the cd than NCOE. They went with NCOE just because they thought with the tag of Bruno Mars, it would get played. Did it? NOOOOO. Adam doesn't need to play safe. He needs to stand out and be different. Shady, Underneath and Outlaws of Love would be my choices. They are different, they are unique and they make you feel, think, cry.

Sarah H @popledge Adam Lambert and Queen - the show to go on?! popledge.co.uk/?p=24793 #adamlambert #queen popledge.co.uk/2012/07/16/adam-lambert-and-queen-the-show-to-go-on/Adam Lambert and Queen – the show to go on?! ADAM AND QUEEN – THE SHOW MUST GO ON?! Adam Lambert and Queen have just completed a trio of highly successful gigs in London. That might not be the end of their working relationship though – the former American Idol has revealed that he would like to team up with Queen for a studio album of new material following their live performances. Lambert said on Capital FM - “Yeah, I mean, I would love to work with them in any capacity in the future. I don’t think I would turn any offer down. I mean, they’re amazing. I don’t know what that would be, but hey.” So not exactly concrete yet After completed their six gigs in Europe there is now talks of the shows moving to American later this year. Adam also achieved a top ten single and album yesterday in the UK.
