NGL - I'm a little surprised because his US promo has not been that great in my opinion. I didn't realize she was involved anywhere but the UK.
Also - I didn't have the highest opinion of Taylor because of fans' comments. But those tweets are wonderful.
It'll be interesting to see what she does now that he's done with Queen. It's hard to work your PR magic when your artist leaves the country a mere two weeks after the release of his album for rehearsals in London and stays out of the U.S. for over a month. I'm hopeful that she's got plans for him in the U.S. that are just as great as what she lined up for him in the UK. |

I don't want Trespassing released as a single unless RCA has figured out the radio problem (or bribed Z100). Trespassing is such a badass song that, to me, is telling radio/the industry, I'm breaking in and there is nothing you can do about it---it would feel like a giant slap in the face if radio ignored it. Basically, I would rather have it not released at all at this point than see radio crush the spirit right out of this song.
Anyway, with two failed singles in the US, I think it is way too soon to try something else. Let DMG/RCA re-group and then try something new in September when at least Adam will have an opportunity to get some national promo. That is, if he gets a third single---it gets a whole lot iffy when an album has dropped off the BB 200; it is, in the end, all about money.

If there would be a next single, for me it would have to be cuckoo. Almost all of the reviews mentioned it as THE outstanding track, and that's my opinion, too! The boldest choice = Trespassing The safest choice = Cuckoo The weirdest, but coolest choice = Shady For me BTIKM and NCOE were so strange to chose as first singles, that I was soooooo disappointed with both of them. There are 3 tracks that I skip and these are BTIKM, NCOE and Naked Love :dunno: I know picking singles may be difficult, but I think listening sometimes to a fanbase can't be that wrong |

I know , I know  But , hey , Trespassing is A GREAT song , and , it is radio friendly , IMO . Cuckoo , is a radio friendly song , too . (they can edit out the "ass" , "fuck" for it to be on radio . and , Shady is on FIRE !!!! . and a lot more . almost all the songs on Trespassing are BEAUTIFUL . At least for me , I live in Syria , and I don't have a clue about "what is radio friendly or not" , But I think if a song "awakens something in you" , the it's a hit . and believe me , neither BTIKM , or NCOE awakened something in me, it just didn't click like "Shady" , or "Cuckoo" , or "Trespassing" . THIS, especially the highlighted words. Totally agree. (but i do like BTIKM.) If they want a catchy dancy single, there are plenty better choices in the first half of the cd than NCOE. They went with NCOE just because they thought with the tag of Bruno Mars, it would get played. Did it? NOOOOO. Adam doesn't need to play safe. He needs to stand out and be different. Shady, Underneath and Outlaws of Love would be my choices. They are different, they are unique and they make you feel, think, cry. I also love BTIKM, and NCOE isn't bad either. For me Runnin' is another great song from the album, however Idk what emotions it evokes in me. For once I listen to it I feel tearful, for another time it's immense joy. But the song is truly amazing. Though, it's very difficult to guess which song will be the next single because Adam is full of surprises. ETA: Guys, I really like that single speculation. |
