Funny thing about Boise, is that I live WAY closer to Portland. I could not make myself do a GA, not even for Adam. I was way in the back for RMT and, my, I guess I missed..ahem..some action. But I could dance and take the whole show in so at that particular venue, being in back worked well. I wanted to dance and dance I did!
I chose Boise for the acoustics and knowing I would have a seat where I could at least get a sense of GlamNation without having the issues you did. It was a perfect view, since a lot of peeps sat. Still not close and intimate. I, too, enjoyed an unencumbered view with the DVD. No one bothered me. Too busy watching Adam and all the happenings. And it moves quickly, that rapid-fire editing.
Did you have a particular GN that was your 'fave'? Good for you to be able to see more than one!!
Lucky people who are gonna be 'giftees' ;D

Lucky people who are gonna be 'giftees' ;D You chose your venue wisely :D I went to the Seattle and Portland GA shows, (described earlier) but I think if I had to choose a favorite (aside from Fantasy Springs) it was the River Rock Casino concert near Vancouver, prior to the GNT...Adam was still getting into his grove so to speak, there weren't dancers yet, but it was a nice venue, I could have remained seated but was able to get quite close to the stage and it was amazing. ;D I loved the GA shows too, but they were an endurance contest in some ways, and I must have bad karma for tall people in front of me...  Of course I followed as many shows as I could on twitter and via YT videos ;D ;D |

Were the vocals out of this galaxy? I mean, they were superb even on YouTube. Lucky, lucky you  River Rock...did he sing 'Broken Open' at that show? The one song I truly would have swooned to hear live. I love that song

I am so glad I took the risk, made a spur of the moment decision and went to Fantasy Springs - one of the high points (peak experiences) of my life...to see the first slow WLL was worth every penny, plus I got to see him close up as he got out of the elevator to go to the venue (all covered in feathers and hippy garb)... I will need to review my videos to see if he did Broken Open at River Rock (can't believe I can't remember ???) - he sounds amazing doing it on the DVD doesn't he ? |

LOL My guess with his tweet is that he meant, "Until the very end ..." he may have forgotten exactly which week, because it's likely a blur to him. Of course, we've analyzed it to death, but I imagine he's seen the vids a few times and that's it. He relies on his memories. I'm sure he remembers one crazy-assed, pressure-filled week on top of another. Most of us can only retain a fraction of our experiences as long-term memory. I'm not surprised his recollection might be off by a week. |
