OK . I just watched Casey Abrams interview on the road to Hollywood. I said it the minute he auditioned i loved him , loved him , loved him. I wrote it in the old site we had, i said he's the one for me. AND NOW I SEE THAT HIS FAVORITE AI MOMENT WAS ADAM'S RING OF FIRE AND HIS FAVORITE MUSICIAN IS FREDDY MERCURY!! WOOOOHOOOO!!! I WANT HIM TO WIN!!! WUT? He's my favorite too! Now I like him even more! Guy is really talented. Unfortunately he was rushed to the hospital and given a blood transfusion. Might tape his performance for next week. Nothings known for sure. Too bad. But I am not getting invested this year or any year. I found my guy. From MJs: Casey Abrams update, and it’ not looking great for the Season 10 Top 24 contestant. From TMZ:
Casey Abrams — who we know is one of the 24 finalists on “American Idol” — is still in the hospital and could end up dropping out of the competition today … TMZ has learned.
TMZ broke the story … Casey was rushed to the hospital Wednesday, complaining of severe stomach pains.
We’ve learned he’s still in the hospital and will receive a blood transfusion this morning.
For Casey to continue in the competition, he must participate in tonight’s taping of the top 12 males.
Sources connected with the show say it’s up to Casey to decide, but producers will let him rehearse with the band at 4:30 PM today if he’s able … and then tape the show.
It’s so touch and go, we’re told they’re discussing the possibility of Casey going to the taping and then returning to the hospital.

The latest on Casey is that he will definitely be at the show tonight. From MJ's: UPDATE:! According to TV Line, Casey is well enough to tape the show tonight.

Needacoke....thanks for posting that Paul McDonald vid. I'm kinda diggin him. He's very likeable and seems seasoned. I bet Alabama will get behind him, like in the past. This year's AI may turn out to be fun if we have another Bama boy in the running. Just read about Casey Abrams loving AFL's Ring of Fire, so I think I kinda like him too. I actually like several of them. Not sure who my fave is yet, but glad we have another Bama boy!

I've been watching, but not enough to have any favs. Maybe after they each perform a solo on the HW stage, I will be more interested. Does that happen next week??

Ya know what 4Maemyn, even though I've been watching for years I still don't know how the format works. My guess is to ask myspenser50 - she's the expert. The performances I posted are from past seasons, I don't have any favorites from this season so far - except for Jacob's God Bless the Child.

Jazzrocks, I just do.not.get how this guy gets paid to write about music. Seriously...doesn't the paper get a lot of complaints about him? And I don't mean about his opinions about singers (although they never have seemed very informed or intelligent to me), but I mean complaints about his writing abilities. How many times did he use the phrase "strange little man" and "Are they on drugs?" He just reeks of being spiteful and uninformed and homophobic and not-so-bright to me. Ugh. Have you ever met him in person? Just curious...

Have you ever met him in person? Just curious... I never met him but Rowe did! She was filming GNT Musikfest and wrote about her encounter with him. Of course it's lost forever now on PF. I seem to remember her saying he came in after she did and forcibly took her front row seat. He was very serious throughout the entire show and never smiled. He didn't seem to be enjoying it at all and she was astounded when she saw the very positive review he wrote. As far as complaints to the paper - I doubt it but I don't know. Probably many local people have the same tastes as he does. :( And don't care about his lack of writing skills. Good or bad, he mentions Adam a lot and that keeps me entertained.

sugaree, I love those performance by Fantasia and Bo. This is also one of my all time faves from Idol, even with the broken note at the end. LOL
