needacoke, I don't think he is just doing Christian music. I hope not (nothing against it). I want to hear some of the songs from his first album. My favorite is You Can Always Come Home. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOG4WB8OKjA

omg i'm crying!!! this is my favorite part: Jacob Lusk sings so low and quietly, sings with such respect for the history and decades of sadness and hope contained within "God Bless The Child," that it's scarcely a whisper on velvet. It's other voices, in other rooms, calling out blessings for the child that has his or her own. He leads us in quiet contemplation of that joy in existence without which the world would fall apart and collapse. He inscribes the song on a grain of rice using just a single stiff hair from a horse's mane. He paints the infinite regress of a room in which hangs a painting of a room in which hangs a painting of a room in which hangs a painting of a room in which sits the child who has his or her own, hands folded in his or her lap, holding a painting of guess what.bwahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!

I wrote it in the old site we had, i said he's the one for me. AND NOW I SEE THAT HIS FAVORITE AI MOMENT WAS ADAM'S RING OF FIRE AND HIS FAVORITE MUSICIAN IS FREDDY MERCURY!! WOOOOHOOOO!!! irish, my wish is that Debra Byrd gets to be James' vocal coach, on the show, and knocks some sense into him! I think she would flat out tell him to stop comparing himself to Adam, to stop shrieking for no reason, and to find his own voice! ^^^^ This ^^^^^ mys*&@^#r i wish this too, but why am i so suspicious that the producers actually let him be this way just for the controversy? I dont know i saw J.L face when he sang ACIGC and she seemed annoyed by his voice. I think they are using him for high rates. :( I decided that I could watch this year, since there seem to be some decent singers. However, in order to do that, I must pretend that GNAFL was never on AI. LOL. ;D I also was puzzled by J.L. reaction. The look on her face was not one of appreciation IMO. Producers must be pimping him in some way, but I think they want a girl to win this time. Although I prob won't watch every week, or vote, I will visit here from time to time to get your reactions.

Paul McDonald was here in town in Dec and I was sitting right here staring at my computer when I could have been at The Crossroads listening to him. Oh well. Hadn't ever heard of him at that point. LOL Haven't decided who my favorite is this year. I don't wanna get attached to anyone and then see them get cut next week.
It'll be interesting to see what Alabama does with Paul. Bama has a history of voting big time for the Bama kids and putting them through - they did a pretty good job with Ruben, Taylor and Bo.
Here's Paul and his band playing here in Huntsville.

Brining this over from the News: And this year, they are singing in 2 groups, next week. The 12 boys on Tuesday, the 12 girls on Wed. The top 5 from each group goes into the Finals. On results night, Thursday, the judges will also add their wild card choices to make it either a Top 12 or a Top 13. Most are thinking a Top 13 since there are 3 judges, one for each judge. Have that many been cut in one week before? I know it has been cut to a top 16 and then I guess 12. Yes, in Adam's year they only chose the top 3 out of 3 groups. Out of Adam's group, came Adam (Top boy), Allison(Top girl,) then Kris (next top vote getter.) So, the voters chose 9, then the judges added 4 wild cards.

Needacoke....thanks for posting that Paul McDonald vid. I'm kinda diggin him. He's very likeable and seems seasoned. I bet Alabama will get behind him, like in the past. This year's AI may turn out to be fun if we have another Bama boy in the running. Just read about Casey Abrams loving AFL's Ring of Fire, so I think I kinda like him too.
