Hi everyone - I am late to the party as I was working in a kitchen, catering to a group for the entire Hammersmith weekend! Was totally exhausted afterwards. Couldn't get to a computer and am only just starting to catch up the huge threads. Can anyone advise me of the best videos of any of the 3 concerts so I can download and make a DVD to watch on the big screen? If anyone has made one of the whole concert, maybe you could do a copy for me, pretty please ?Thanks so much. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still looking at videos and trying to decide on the best. Laughing at myself. Every time I go to watch a posted vid, it seems to start off with, "Are you having fun?!" and all I want to do is a jello shot but it doesn't seem like a good idea at 10:30 am. I hope the game only applies to livestreams.  ;D |

Me too. nationalglampoon is working on the best of the best.  I've downloaded so many...some with better audio, some with better visuals, etc. Fingers crossed that one of our super techies will merge or "improve" the best vids with the best sound. I want it all, and I want it now! lol Doing this for any or all three of the London shows will be time consuming.....just hope someone does. When Terra did her editing for the GNT at the Ryman, she said she doubted she would ever do that again. |

I am starting to love it! It's like his special sauce. I still think the fans should decided when in one of Adam's concerts they should surprise him and, in unison, shout "Adam are you having fun"?! I think he'd get a kick out of it. ;D |

No really they were still into what was on stage, still dancing etc but... he did it so quickly they were confused!! But so was the Band! Someone spoke with Tommy and as this is third hand take what you will, but it seems Adam's "plan" was to do whatever seemed natural to him at the time! I talked to Tommy for a few minutes afterward. Told him it was more like a happening than a show as it was pretty much unstructured. He laughed and said they were discussing what to do with all the time they had (no opener) and Adam pretty much said "wing it"! So that's what they did! They could rehearse more songs!  Adam has several songs he hasn't done yet off of TSP and he could bring back a couple of other songs from FYE. He could also throw a couple of new covers in the set. Almost every artist does at least a cover or two in their concert sets. The TSP tour is going to need to be longer than one hour. Adam has two albums out now and a wide choice of genres to choose cover songs from. He can sing anything! |

A couple thought about the backup singers. After Adam's costume change, he comes back on and gushes about them and how he's got to up his game (don't remember the actual words). But that made me think about how often I've watched huge-name performers and marveled that the real singers on stage were the back-ups--not the star. Anyone else notice that? Sometimes I'd like to just get a hook out to drag the star off stage and let the real singers loose. :D Fortunately, that is not an issue with Adam. Also, as a somewhat overweight woman myself, I admire how they move with fluidity, sexiness, and complete confidence. Even before I was overweight, I didn't have that comfort with my body. For me, they are great examples of owning and embracing a type of figure that is not found on the pop stage. I've wanted to mention the same thoughts I've had with the VJJ's body image. I mean, they're wearing leotards for cryin' out loud. YAY for high self esteem and YAY for Adam not giving a phuck. (Take this from someone who tried on bathing suits yesterday and has decided there is no way I'm hitting the beach without a cover-up.) I wish I could own my body type! |

I'm back from my incredible long weekend at CM and FS. I loved meeting Atopppers and having fun. Can't wait to the next concerts in CA, whenever they are!
What I loved most about FS was that Adam clearly felt safe surrounded by his most fervent fans and felt that he could experiment. It was an awesome experience. There is something to be said for a tightly planned and executed 100% professional performance but there is also something to be said for being free and taking risks. There is also something to be said for late Adam being late and the bar being very accessible from my seat.
