Wondering what Paul Rodgers is thinking of the many reviews saying he was a bad fit. I know there are Paul Rodger fans here and not denying the man can sing. But for Queen, IMO, he really was a bad fit. I don't think he was horrible. In fact I'm glad they went that direction first. If they went to someone like Adam first it would have reeked of trying to replace Freddie. Not that Adam is trying to replace Freddie but he does share certain attributes/skillsets. By experimenting with Paul Rodgers it was a nice way to go against the grain. It certainly limited their song choice a bit, but it wasn't bad. I LOVED the QPR show I saw in 2005. He has a very unique voice and it fit what they wanted to do at the time. AND now that they ended it, it made their choice of Adam even better as they seemed to be able to expand out and celebrate their entire history. *shrugs* Just my opinion As one who loves both Paul Rodgers and Adam, I have been a bit worried about how bad it must feel to PR to see all the 'Adam is better' comments even though I agree that Adam is a much better fit for Queen. Having seen both QPR and QAL live, I think PR was also good but in his case what made it good was that he didn't fit, instead he drenched everything with his own beautiful blues/soul style. I liked Adam better - those London shows were spectacular!! - but that doesn't mean that I can't also still love PR. Interesting point you make talon about how it's good for QAL that they went with QPR first, I hadn't thought of that.

That pic of Adam, Sauli and Mason is just about the cutest thing ever for me. I just love it! I totally love holding infants. They are so sweet and snuggly. I never want to put them down. In fact, when I saw my youngest goddaughter's one month old daughter last summer, she couldn't pry her away from me. LOL. I had the best time.
On another note, when hubby and I were at lunch today at Fuddrucker's, a hamburger place if you are not familiar with the name, they were playing Queen songs!! Could not believe it. First song I heard was "I Want It All."

Definitely. I absolutely think that Adam is a better fit but that's not a slight to Paul at all. Adam's voice just fits this whole theatrical type catalogue better. Paul is a better fit at the soulful/bluesy type numbers and would fit better than Adam in a more typical 70s rock band to be honest...Queen is just a different beast. BUT it got Brian and Roger up again and even back to the US so I have to be thankful :D
